I wanted a WR1 when I sold my wrx bug eye a few months ago, but couldn't justify the extra price tag so bought a 2005 sti ppp with dccd and got it with 53k on the clock for just under 7k.

could you not just replace the equal length headers with un-equal?

The JDM has equal length headers for a reason and to be honest with a good exhaust system sounds alot better than a UK spec

But it horses for courses and buy what appeals to you
Wasn't the same colour then used on the Hawkeye?

I have seen blob and hawk wrx in same colour but think they are euro imports as ones I have seen have had non airbag front seats, they are better seats though, same as sti ones but wrx material. Never seen any sti's in the colour though

And to add about the jdm, the widetrack is still a better car and I think has same heads and cams as spec c whereas earlier narrow track jdm sti doesn't. If a high spec one should have the bbs wheels as well.
