3, Hazard merely placed his hand on Morgan's back, and he went down like he'd been shot

If Morgan was my kid, I'd be deeply ashamed of his actions, and I'd make damned sure that he knew it

Having said all that, Chris Foy was absolutely correct to send Hazard off, his actions have no place on a football pitch, but neither too do Morgan's.

That should now be an end of it though, there is absolutely no reason to involve the law, we're not talking Cantona are we

I think by DJ Smiles types you mean Chelsea fans.

Regardless of how silly the youth was, there is no excuse for what Hazard did. Kicking a youth, taking the law into his own hands, always going to end poorly for him. And standing there smirking afterwards just adds to how misplaced his thoughts were.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, the lad should be fecking grateful it was Hazard.

Ashley Cole would have shot him, John Terry would've shagged him

Personally I think the Swansea's twelfth man got off lightly. A lot of neutrals think a few more well aimed boots would have been in order.

No matter what the kid was doing I think he got caught up in the moment, what Hazard did was a disgrace, he should know better, he is a proffessional footballer and knows what the rules are and kicking someone is unacceptable. I put this in the same catagory as the Cantona incident, OK it wasnt as severe but its still assault. Imagine if it was Saurez that did this? Everyone would be calling for his head

Bollox! Caught up in the moment? He had already tweeted that he was going to waste time and help Swansea so it was all premeditated. As for the Cantona incident, that was no less than the tw@t Simmons deserved. It was a peach of a kick and I will never tire of watching it over and over again.

From what I could see he didn't even kick him, just tapped the ball under him. Reading about the 17 year old today he appears to be a grade A ***. I wouldn't be surprised if his £42 million inheritance is whittled down a bit.

I cant beleive half the crap on here, hazard kicked the ball from under him maybe tickled his belly button a little with his laces.

The young adult as il refer to him is a bell end at best. If it was my son id have kicked the little f*cker for embarrassing me.

There will always be doo gooders wanting hazard lined up and stoned to death over the incident but thats what they do.

Now before do gooders decide to jump on this post and start about how im a disgrace etc etc etc il say this. If hazard had actually kicked the guy like people make out then i would be more inclined to say the red card was warranted and he was in the wrong. Just on this occasion its this Morgan guy play acting pure and simple.

The Cantona kick was good and well deserved, but it wasn't half as good as the punch that followed it. It's hard to see on the videos, but I was about 8 rows back from the incident and after Cantona sort of falls back into the pitch he gets up and gives Simmons a straight right to the jaw- you could see Simmons's head snap back from the punch after which Simmons backed right off pushed an old steward in front of him and didn't want to know.
Simmons ran down from the back of the stand to shout **** at Cantona and got what he was asking for IMHO - the fact that he is a convicted armed robber ( held up a garage at gunpoint) just makes it all the sweeter...

I see words but as I read they become sweet melodious notes.
Whilst I wasn't pitch side so didn't see it first hand I do have to agree it was sweet sweet punch. I followed the story afterwards and discovered what a nasty piece of scum Simmons was. Attacking an elderly shopkeeper with a hammer. His subsequent outburst at court only served to further reveal what a complete oxygen thief he was. Whilst I'm not a Man U. fan I became a Cantona fan, the guy knew how to look after himself.

Well I'm no Chelsea supporter, bur Hazard should be commended for giving the crowd their moneys worth by attempting to keep the game flowing because the ball boy wasn't doing his job. lol.

Can't believe some of the comments from the football haters across all media streams, accusing him with assault, with the lad rolling around as if he'd been shot.

It must be hard not to be a Cantona fan IMHO after what he also did to the Gentlemen of the Press with his "Seagulls follow the trawler" speech i've never seen so many gobby gits struck completely dumb
