You better start collecting some bits then, i'd grab a newage wrx block (nice and cheap) and keep it under 450bhp, starts to get really expensive after that.
Download the newage sti manual sticky in general technical, and start reading and taking notes of torque settings etc, then find a machine shop for bore to piston matching and crank balancing, i think i'm going to use api or engine tuner for that on my next one, think it's good to give them the flywheel and clutch too.
That lot should give you something to think about for a while.
