Fuel price increase

I only do 6,000 miles a year - so, I fill my Honda diesel up once a month (not the twice a month that my Subaru demanded).
Personally, I would like it to be £2:50 a Gallon for private motorists (with a special tax free fuel price for delivery lorries) ...... this would drive the riff-raff off the roads and that would leave them clear for those who got off their fat rear ends and built up some funds to spend

Problem with the tax break on HGVs is they are still stuck at 56mph trying to overtake each other...better remove the HGV limiter so they can do 80mph again then they won't get in the way so much.
Fuel tax is probably one of the most efficient forms of collecting tax revenue.....compare it to the cost of processing tax returns and investigating businesses hiding funds overseas and dodging corperation taxes and fiddling VAT etc. So why not just bin all the other ineffective loop-hole-ridden tax systems and just go with a massive fuel tax instead?

Simple supply & demand. If the demand drops, the price will go down.
But demand is growing..........and growing..........
So stop moaning about it. Move closer to your job, walk more often, drive a more sensible car, use a bike etc etc
We've been around ont he planet for thousands of years and manged to do without cars. Why are we so in need of them now?

The Chancellor looks at the prospects for his political future to decide whether to increase fuel duty or not. I doubt he even knows what Fairfuel is. Like most of the country! Still as long as they believe they are making a difference!

The rise of crude oil prices has been relentless for the past two months. From a low of 85.79 at the end of December 11th, it's now changing hands at 96.51 as we speak.
That's an increase of 12.5%
If it wasn't for the upcoming OFT report about petrol pricing, i think you'd have seen pump prices considerably higher than they are today.
Obviously all the bankers' fault. Do bankers speculate on oil? Who cares, we'll blame them anyway

Just seen that Fuel prices are to go up another 10p a Litre within 4 weeks
Crap!
I'm so glad I get 560 miles out of my 10 Gallon Tank .......
Surely there is no-one left getting less than 50mpg these days?
Mind you, anyone fancy a 2011 Impreza WRX STi 330R for £9999? Yes, I know they will be much cheaper in a month ...... but, hell, that's a tempting price!!

The problem with fuel is its a knock on effect,
As said to many it's not a luxury it's a necessity.
As fuel prices rise. Some people stop driving.
As fuel prices rise so do haulage costs
This has an effect on everything we buy inc food,
My food bill has gone up at least £20-30 a week over the last two years, and we buy the same stuff,
We as motorists get whacked. Always will car tax is just another part of it.
