i do have a genuine dislike of this sh1te, its caused by slowly watching my favourite marque be destroyed over the years.

Not really. The aircon on mine temporally switches itself off when you put your foot down then switches back on what your off the power. So unless you have your foot permanently planted to the floor using 100% of your power you wouldn't notice.
