At the start of December, I ordered some patio cleaning acid. HDNL claimed to have delivered it, but they couldn't say where they had left it. Amazon immediately sent a replacement.
Again, HDNL claimed to have delivered. Not a sign of it. I spent an hour trying to get HDNL to track it. They wouldn't. The only thing they would do is give me a number for Amazon. The Amazon rep tried to call HDNL. HDNL wouldn't answer. Amazon then gave me a refund. Five days later, it turned up, torn package. I let Amazon know, they said to keep it, no charge.

Noticed a crack in the center drainer of our black stone/granite sink which was seven years old. Wanted to replace it with the same so rang the manufacturer to see if there were any available. They said the crack should not have appeared even if it was seven years old and sent me a replacement which arrived the following day inc drainers and a wooden chopping board. All told about £500 worth.
That company was Franke. Superb service

On a similar vein to leatherman, Victorinox, I've sent a few damaged ones back - broken blade tips etc and got new ones back, or in the case of my more valuable collect able ones, they have been repaired at my request for a v low fee.
Costco as well - good service from them.

Amazon, again.
John Lewis, I ordered a cooker from them, the supplier, from which is was coming direct, they cocked it up and JL apologised and gave us £30 of vouchers.
Three, the phone company tend to be pretty good.

Cobra exhausts Sheffield.
Exhaust was already on the car when i bought it, when it broke i rang them, they couldn't have been nicer, booked me in, fixed it, removed a dent i put in the backbox and polished it all for me. I asked how much i owed and they would'nt take a penny, just shook my hand and thanked me for taking it back to them.

Another mention for Cobrasport. I have used them a couple of times and required a quieter backbox on the Impreza for the early starts at work. Anywho newage system on classic Impreza I rang beforehand incase there may be fitting issues. Matt the sales manager simply said not to worry about it as they would do free fitting and just charge for the backbox. It may have slotted straight on but it was a nice gesture for a returning customer. Oh and got a free keyring/air freshener as the deal breaker

All these have been very good when something has gone wrong:
Sytners BMW, Berghaus, Endura (bike stuff), Howies (clothes), Ring (torches, etc), Apple (!), Kenwood (multimedia car system), VW Commercial, Argos (Nilfisk pressure washer).
And these have been utterly dreadful:
Boystuff, Vauxhall, laptopsdirect
