I pretty much hated the run up to turning 30, felt like life as I knew it was coming to an end like there was things I could no longer get away with because of the number 3 at the start rather than a 2 haha.
But when it comes and passes its no different, expecting a new arrival now that's a wake up call!

Hark at you lot. You're all worrying about a 3 coming up. Wait till you've got a 6 coming up. Oh yes.
Then you'll have something to worry about.
Just hope I continue to get no advisaries on my next MOT.

frayz , i remember turning 30 , thought to myself bloody hell the last 15 years have flown by !
the last 8 have slowed down a bit ....lol
i have 2 kids my eldest turns 17 in july , they are the ones who make you feel old !
now i have the scoob all of a sudden i am a cool dad to be around again....lol
he hated me picking up from anywhere in my old car and used to beg his mum to come and get him in the bmw , now he dont even ring her i am his first port of call
the wife reckons i am having a mid life crisis but its more down to the fact i am finally driving something i want to drive again , it was 17 years ago i could last say that!
your as old as you feel mate age is just a number , although getting in and out of the scoob makes me creek a bit...pmsl

The Impreza is a bit of a bone of contention with my Misses.
We have recently bought our own place in Dec and expecting our first in the coming few weeks, if she had her way I'd get rit of the motor, in her view it's a "chav car" and an expence we could do with out.
But in my view I've loved scoobies since playing Gran Turismo on the PS1 many years ago and always wanted one. I don't drink or smoke all my mates are settling down, what else can I spend money on that make me happy that does not involve getting kicked out of the house!

By the way, you'd better not be doing any thumb twiddling when she goes into labour!

i am quite lucky as my hobby pays for the scoob so she cant moan on that front either , tbh i think she is happy i have something i have wanted for a while and the bonus for her is i no longer moan about nipping to tesco's if we run out of something , any excuse to go for a ride !
i remember when our first was due , had nothing literally but with the support of our parents it never effected us
will never forget the day my son was born i practically delivered him and cut the cord , the first thing he done was sneeze was by her side all the way through and still have the bite scars on my shoulder as a momento!
cherish the early days when the baby comes as from then on life will move at 100mph for the next 15 plus years

the wife dont like driving my scoob! that can only be a good thing in my book , she tried to say it was too thirsty too until i pointed out that her car is a 3 litre and costs 45.00 quid a week just to get my daughter to school and do a bit of shopping

Something will financially crop up ! And the 1st assets the other half will think of selling, will be your assets 1st before her shoe collection goes on ebay

lol ron , but your right !
my wife used to give me a real hard time when i started up model motorvation , she has a rough idea of how much some of my collection is worth and how much i make on the items i make and sell , they are always the first thing mentioned if things get tight when unexpected bills come in , but unbeknown to her i always have a model stash kept solely for rainy days she knows nothing about , when the bills arrive i have a few keen collectors that snap up the ones i have put aside and the bill gets paid .
over the last year or so she has come to realize the hobby actually keeps me at home so i am always about either in the workshop or study if she or the kids need me not down the pub or out with mates

Lol tbh ron she aint that bad a down to earth kinda lass.
Dont mind me having the car as she sees I enjoy it but from a financial pov she rather it wasnt here, and if we needed to go down to one car I'd only end up getting a sport lol
