Yea Ron the hair man!

I bet looking at the prices of MK1 n MK2 Escorts now makes you sick as a parrot.

Great looking cars on here, shows how many petrolheads are ESOC brothers lol (and sister for Lorraine) ;-)

Here's my last car that I owned for 7 years. It was an Escort Rs2000 4x4, one of 26 ever made in Auralis blue metallic. Not fast, but handled well and never let me down!

This is what I've got now, had it for 5 months. It has a Tsl333.

Here are a few more of my daily drives.

Currently own a Mk3 Mondeo Zetec-S lovely car still a runabout but with a nice drive and punchy engine.

E35 BMW 525i, not my wisest purchase only owned for a short time, auto 2.5 straight 6 I thought couldnt be worse in fuel than the WRX... I was wrong lol, loved the car felt like some kind of African prince driving this, only needed the flags on the bonnet!

Ford Puma 1.7 - If anyone has driven one of these they will know how brillant these cars are, nearly got 6 points in this due a wet evening and an emtey a127, wanted to keep it and track it but funds dictate.

Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI, nice but dull car though.

Ford Fiesta 1.8 D - Jueees this thing was slow, second car I owned and yes I stuck the TSW Venoms on...

Cuirass is darker (looked more grey) and found on Gti's etc! The Rs's were Auralis, like the Escort Cosworth.

Wow ! Just loving all the retro rides in here

Forester Thump .... Just loving that super sport
Guessing you kick yourself daily when you see the price that they fetch these days

Adam ! Wow ! You've had some lovely bikes in the past
Loving the R1 you had

Rab555 ! I like how you transformed that very basic 2.0 sport into a awesome looking machine What a shame thou it came to a tragic end

Maz man ! Lol , Quality photo mate of the Mk3 escort ditched by the road side , That's usually where most Mk3 escorts ended up

Scooby seb .... Just love your S2 RST Looks mint I bet there were tears shed when you had to sell it

j976rna ... Your S2 looked mint too , Think i remember seeing that mag article too

Wrx sti ed ...... Wow love your RS2000 4x4 , i had a opportunity once to buy a mint white one , only had 18k on the clock , still regret not buying it But always wanted one

Scott .... i'd have thought better of you mate !! To have stuck a set of TSW Venoms onto a 1.8 D fezza , lol
I might of had a bad choice of hair styles back in the early 90's ! But i can hold my head high knowing that i didn't try to sport up a DIESEL FEZZA

Ron, I bought mine as it was really rare! Was lovely to drive for an old Escort lol. Spent thousands on it over the 7 years I had it, took it to Ford Fair every year. Had to break it for parts last August as it was rotten underneath on the rear floor. Ashame as I really looked after it!

Total shame ed

But that body style of escort never did keep the rust at bay

Same happened to my GTi , it's them side skirts !! They just never drained the water away properly , Just rotted the sills to dust

Also the rear chassis legs always went , i've had 4 Mk6 escorts , and they have all been the same

First car, loved it...mildly ported head (after the head gasket started blew), and a full Janspeed ‘zorst. Span it through a brick wall on Park Way in Chelmsford and wrote it off, gutted.
1989 1982 mki xr2 1600

So I’d written my first car off and luckily for me my dad got promoted and got a second lease car...yup he worked for FMC! So for the next few years I was a flash student brat and had new cars at college/university...well until my sister passed her test and then I had to share, at which point I inherited my granddads Harvest Gold mkIII Escort which my sister and I shared until I got my own company car...

1990 1990 escort cab 1600
1991 1991 xr2i 16v 1800
1992 1992 Fiesta Si 16v 1600
1993 1983 Escort GL 1300
1994 1994 Fiesta Si 16v 1400
1995 1983 Escort GL 1300
1996 1996 Escort gti 1800
1997 1997 Escort gti 1800
1998 1998 Escort Eclipse 1600
First company car I actually earned, so ended up with a black three door fully loaded 1800 (kinda gutted as I wanted an 2.0 ESP Focus as my dad was the lead engineer on the ESP project).
1999 1999 Focus Zetec 1800
Opted out of my company car scheme and bought myself my wagon.
2002 - present 2000 turbo MY00 wagon 2000
Wagon was daily driver until I moved and had more space, at which point I invested in a daily driver...
2006 1991 Fiesta SX 1300
2006 2000 Focus Zetec esp 2000
2008 2003 Focus ST170 2000
2012 - present 2005 Clio 182 2000

I’m old so don’t have too many photos of early cars but will have to try and dig some out and scan them...

I've had 3 mk6's, a 1.4 encore for 2 years, a 1998 3 door Gti for 2 years, then the Rs for 7. On the Rs I had the sills and little bit of the floor at the front replaced. But then the rear chassis rails going into the boot floor needed doing, one outer rear arch and both inner rear arches. Once the rot is in, it's near enough impossible to get rid of it on them cars.

Thing is though I took them off after a few months and going from 17' Venoms to 13' steelies in a 1.8d fezza it was like sticking a turbo on it haha

Like some others I didn't bother with a car license for ages as I had a full bike one & when I first married SHMBO drove me everywhere & eventually up the wall. But that's another thread.

Cameras had that funny plastic stuff in them in my biking era so excuse the lack of HD & megapixels.

Norton Dominator Café Racer

Triton Café Racer - same bike with a Triumph engine conversion

Triumph 650 TR6R (like a single carb Bonneville) Please excuse my other ride getting in the way of the bike

Norton 850 Commando MkIIa

On a run to Kessingland for a beach party. Looks like a scene from Heartbeat

My first venture off road with a little DT 175 trail bike. Great fun round the farm. The bike not SHMBO

Getting more serious off road with an IT 175 enduro

Chauffeur driven Escort by SHMBO to Subury MCC Enduro

More recent refurb of the Commando prior to reluctant sale. Digital HD at last

Photobucket is in meltdown so cars later.
