Oh sure - take a print out in to your tech and ask for those settings.

Just make sure he knows how to get the amount of camber front & rear. I've heard some pretty shocking past stories of so called garage experts...

On Bonesetters advice I drove over to Chemix in Stourbridge with print out of the settings. The guy there Simon really worked hard and spent over an hour on the car. I now have the settings below. He wasnt able to dial in the front camber as aggressively as above but he advised that if I brought aftermarket camber bolts they would fit them and reset them. I might do this later in the year and maybe get anti lift and thicker roll bar at the same time. Can I ask the people that have been down this road, whats the next steps?



I have to say a bug thanks to Bonesetter as my car has been totally transformed! After fitting new suspension the steering felt flat at low speeds, almost like the tyres were flat, but now it feels nimble and back to normal. My wife has a SportKa which up until now was a better drive than the scoob, I think its more even now. Higher speed corners are also much improved, I was only giving it 7 tenths but boy could I tell the differance, less understeer and a lot less lift off oversteer.

Default Better late than never?

Apologies, 'Biggy-Smalls' and other Wagoneers,

I’ve been lax and slow in getting back to deliver the promised final geo spec that I settled on.

I don’t even have a good excuse; just a ‘dog ate my homework, Sir, honest…’ style pathetic reason (washed my jeans with my geo printout in the pocket and it took ages toget a copy printout from Powerstation).

But, it’s a combination of Bonesetter’s and Powerstation Jerry’s recommendations and it’s the best I’ve had so far.

I’d just add that I’m running stock springs at the front and Prodrive (Eibach) lowered springsat the rear. It works for me as I found Eibachs on the front ruined the ride but they seem to work fine tacking down the back (extra weight of the hatchback,maybe?).

I’d also recommend up-rating the ARBs and fitting solid drop links and, if you’ve upped the power, fitting an anti-lift kit as it dramatically reduces power-on understeer and helps get the power down earlier in a bend.

It’ll never handle like the (now much-missed) Classic wagon but it’s a vast improvement.

Glad to see you're much happier with the wagon now.

The ant-lift kit will increase front grip levels. You have an extra 1/2° of castor which will maintain dynamic geometry as well as increase inside front wheel grip

One thing - wondering why you went for a slightly more aggressive setting on the rear?

Regarding the rear: I followed your original advice as closely as I could.
I fitted two camber bolts on the back to get a nice even setting.

It just feels better and 8,000 miles on tyre wear is very even.

I have a bugeye STi saloon one of the best things to do is replace ALL the rubber bushes with powerflex or equivalent bushing. The rubber bushes have play in them for noise and vibration reduction. but this flexibility will also allow your Geo setup to alter slightly from the setup. This was one of the first suspension mods I did, yes it is a little noisier and the vibration is a little more but not a problem.
