If you don't return to sump do you just vent it to the atmosphere?

no the oil stays in the can until you empty it

Ah ok I didn't know if they had an outlet or what, never fitted one. but now I know

They do have an outlet, usually fitted with a small filter. This filter vents the gasses to the atmosphere while the can catches any residue.

A quick search on ebay, something like this....

This is a 2 port can. One port for the crank case and the other for the two rocker breathers. Just need to tee the two rockers together.

found out why mine dosent catch anything....spunking drain plug fell out
