Car-jack Problem Getting too Close to Home - What's being done ??

Can't speak for KSA but there is crime in the Gulf states.
Predominantly within the migrant labour groups (a PC generalism which should offend no one, or maybe everyone).
I endorse this concept of escallation. Heres a wonderful idea :-
Standard penalties no exceptions/mitigating circumstances -Everbody gets jailed, Nobody gets fed.
So... Drop a sweet wrapper, park on a double yellow. Spend half of Saturday morning in nick.
Convicted of afray Sat & Sun in nick, no breakfast, beer or butties.
Second offence doubles the penalty.
Wonderfully simplistic and won't over run the jails, because:-
1 When you've done a week with nothing but tapwater you aint gonna be keen to get caught again.
2 If you don't learn your lesson won't take long before the system eradicates the problem

F*cks me off big time!!
I caught two ******* trying to break into my garage a couple of weeks ago, my 306gti-6 and WR400 enduro bike were inside (both of which I bought in last 6 months). I live right out in the sticks, down a wiggly little country lane, near a nice little village. Couldn't believe it was happening really.
I nearly lost it, saw the red mist and nearly force fed a hefty gate padlock to one of the little f***ers. Once I'd calmed down afterwards though I realised that I would have been the one getting hauled up in court if I had hurt them, so I was glad I hadn't crossed the line.
Sounds pathetic but I'm really paranoid now, every time I hear a noise outside I think they've come back. I've even had bad dreams about it.
It does just make you think is it worth all the effort to save up and buy nice things, just to spend your life waiting for them to get stolen, vandalised, wrecked, etc.
My 306 was a stepping stone to a scoob, but now I'm not sure I want something that's even more desirable to the pondlife. Really makes me want to emigrate to a country that isn't so f***ed up. It ain't gonna get any better that's for sure.

Bear in mind the following law on Offensive Weapons:
If you are carrying something that could be considered an offensive weapon per se (eg sword, knife, axe etc) that is obviously an offence.
It is ALSO an offence to carry around an everyday item (such as a bat) WITH THE INTENTION OF USING TO CAUSE HARM, EVEN IN ANTICIPATED SELF DEFENCE.
If you are stopped and it is in your car, the police will ask you (illegally I might add) what it is there for and the moment you say 'self-defence' you are deep in the siht.
So be careful what you take out with you and what you say to anyone as it may put you in the same courts as those you behest.

Apparently 95% of crime is committed by 5% of the people!!
We must NEVER forget that we are by far in the Majority!!
I propose that we have a 3 strikes and out rule - steal 3 cars and you are executed. Use force with weapons in ANY crime and you are IMMEDIATELY executed!!
Why spend money on these sh1tes all their life - they are NEVER worth a spit EVER.
Lets just kill the b4stards - send the SAS into the council estates to cull the *****, excellent training too!!
This gets me REALLY mad!! if you hadnt noticed!

Hmm leeds and surrounding area is getting a bit rife for the old car jacking. Does make you think if we've got the right vehicles, there is something to be said about the old rep motor and peace of mind
Mind you the fun of the scooby does seem to out way the possibility of car jacking, at the moment (until it happens to you)

just a thought...but could we start an area on scoobynet, where we can inform other scoobynetters locations where cars have been jacked/stolen. May give felow drivers going to areas for the first time (asda -bury?) an insight into not leaving there vehicles there, or areas that are potentially safe to leave your vehicles i.e where to leave you car when watchin the mighty reds .
I certainly wouldn't leave my car on the Asda car park in mention...
Scoobynet is an excellent site but sometimes a little difficult to pick-up some of this vital information..
just a thought.....
Cheers
