Mine is booked at 4.2, with an exhaust and remap now getting around 45bhp/50lbft over standard so would expect it to be sub 4's with having the 8k rev limit, Havnt got the heart to rip the clutch to bits to find out though as I have no proper timing equipment, Saying that I have got delta dash but not sure if its an option.

Really?
I used the same site that Norman Dog linked, put the weight at 1300kg, and the power that my car has.
4WD - 330bhp & 1300kg
Power to Weight: 258 bhp/ton
0-60: 4.2
0-100: 11.4
60-100: 7.2
1/4 Mile ET: 12.69
1/4 Mile Terminal: 109
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 12.34
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 112
Ooh, what's the best time I've ran, 12.4s standing 1/4.
Seems pretty bang on to me.

(330bhp and 1300kg is actually 254bhp per ton)
12.4, at the pod ??
All I can say is that in my experience from running and watching at santa pod it takes quite a bit more power than 260bhp per ton to run very low 12's.
If you did manage that time at the pod then I can only imagine everything must of been absolutely perfect and you were brutal with the car.
Very few cars will match that time with similar power to weight thats for sure.
Heres the stats that site gave for my old car....
Power to Weight:347 bhp/ton
0-60:3.4
0-100:8.4
60-100:5.0
1/4 Mile ET:11.83
1/4 Mile Terminal:118
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET:11.48
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal:121
All I can say is that I didnt get near those times. Maybe im a **** driver though :-) or a bit more sympathetic with the car.

Matty FWIW, I ran a 12.2 at Santa Pod with my, at the time, around 360bhp lardy new age blob STi. So it is possible! 240bhp per tonne ish at that time.
Followed by 12.1 at Shakespeare with the same setup.

That Torquestats site pretty much got my times right too for my old R33 GTR....
4WD - 430bhp & 1405kg

My actual personal best was 11.76 @ 116mph, so it's not far off at all!!!

Not sure how far up the power scale it keeps working but it was pretty much bang on for mine.
Power to Weight: 474 bhp/ton

That's brilliant.
Thanks Martyn and all. I'll def be showing the vid to my house mate when he wakes up just to wind him up.
Can you guess what he drives? And he knows that you're currently building my CDB

Out of interest are people adding their own body weight to the calculation as it would be pretty hard to drive it down a 1/4 without being in it
My official booked figures are 4.2 secs with 320bhp @1370 kg yet the torque converter gives me a 4.5 without me in it??
It's around 360bhp/380lbft and weighs in at 1335kg with no driver but comes in at 1410kg with me in it so figures are there or there abouts but there are some discrepancies in the calcs.
God knows what the WR1 is then being 90 kg heavier but yet still booked at 4.2

Here's mine from torque stats just for fun.
I know I probably wouldn't achieve anywhere near that as I won't abuse my car to do so.
4WD - 573bhp & 1400kg
Power to Weight: 416 bhp/ton
0-60: 3.2
0-100: 7.1
60-100: 3.9
1/4 Mile ET: 11.39
1/4 Mile Terminal: 127
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 11.04
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 130
Here's what it looks like getting off the line at 525bhp, traffic light GP.
Too much destruction on the car to launch it really hard though. Unless you're competing, or have an endless pot of cash to fix it. Lol

I agree I had a 411bhp scoob and fastest i could manage was 11.9 quarter at the pod , I also timed a 0 to 60 and after a few goes was happy with 3.9 and was done with an accurate timer. Maybe the car is capable of lower times but thats what i could do. when the car was 350bhp i was in the low to mid 12s on strip. low 12s with 258bhp quarters seem a bit ambitious to me unless the car is very light. But maybe its just my driving lol

Was it Driver magazine that quoted 4.3 to 60 for a bog standard Type-R?
If you're cruel to them (sidestepping the clutch) they hook up really well, but I guess that changes as the power increases as you get excessive wheelspin?

I suppose it comes down to how brutal you are with it.
Ive seen and run many imprezas at the pod, my own 400+ classic could only manage mid 12's with me at the wheel. Kas's 450bhp s202 was high 12's, harry's 500+ blob was low 12's, a pals 305bhp classic ran consistant low 13's, my old standard classic wrx ran 14's etc etc.
No doubt the start is where the time is either made or in most cases lost. If your willing to really go for it then yes, you'll get a surprising time. I'll always remember a friend who did the clutch side step at maximum revs. Car was only making 250ish hp but ran 13 dead. However after that is was indeed dead, lol.

My old saff cossie was running approx 350bhp and ran 0-60 in 4.2 and 0-100 in 10.9 at Brunters. Then ran 12.53 @110mph at the pod.
It's all in the getaway.

My old classic wagon ran 12.8 @106mph with 330bhp, that was on a less than perfect airfield, so would expect an improvement on the sticky tarmac at Santa Pod.
Depends how much abuse you're willing to dish out to the poor thing lol.
