DUMP VALVE ADVICE NEEDED!!!

mapping is usually a matter of distance/time lol
personal choices are few and far between, but the ones id mostly consider are, in alphabetical order, not order of preference:
MA Developments (Basingstoke)
MSD (motorsport developments blackpool)
Norris designs (nearest to me in Melksham)
Reyland motorsport (Birmingham)
Will Pedley Racing (Leeds)
aside from Simon Norris, the rest are well known ford tuners. i know alan jeffrey does subaru in plymouth, but not had any personal experience of them.

Is the search function not working? Seriously, another dump valve thread?
To the OP - In a nut shell:
Fitting a VTA dumpvalve is a bad idea. They have no positive effects and lots of negative effects. Plus you will look like a complete plonker.
Save your cash and give the car a good service.
Close thread?

ah, the unmistakable sound of con rod fon doo!
IMO, theres only three places to go for subaru mapping, Simon at JGM, Pat Herbourne, and Bob Rawle ..... just my £0.02.
.... on a side note tubby, theres a blobeye sti in the carpark where i work that would really float your boat! Not only does it have a stick on roof vent, but hes also glued on non functioning bonnet pins and a fake timing beacon ..... scared to show you a photo as i know youll break out in a fit of uncontrollable spadge!

It's NOT about being chavvy. Yes they sound chavvy and daft and are to make little girls moist, but so are lots of other things.
it's about PERFORMANCE.
SURELY we fit things to our car to increase performance?
So why would anyone want to fit something, paying good money for it, when it CAN NOT increase performance and may well decrease it, or be detrimental to the engine, or both? WHY????
I like the noise?
**** off! lean out of the window and shout "Psssssht!! Look at me PLEASE!"
You couldn't look much dafter.

A lot of people slate them not because of the sound, everyone has there own taste, I personally like the hks dv, but thats besides the point, many people have claimed that there dv's have leaked when they have ran a certain amount of boost (for example myself at 1.4), I always had that hesitation between gears, now I have gone dv'less and its smoother
I personally think that dv's have no good advantages over the std recirc or dv'less, going dv'less is another story but im not gonna start that topic as wel just have another thread that wont ever end with a final conclusion of whats really good.
We should all just experiment what we want and then decide what we think is best, trial and error, its all part of our projects right?

All newbys should listen to the sensible advice that has just been posted
It always ends up in a five pager to the sensible ones just gave up on the uneducated and people that won't listen to the wise men among us
Do a search this DV debate has gone on for years
And yes the real enthusiast will just laugh at you going PpPpPPpPSSsSTTTtT
But yes the girls in MCDonald will like you so much you can impregnate them and get them a free council house and be on Jermany Kyle in a few years time.

The hks is a pull shut type mechanism if you get the ssqv. Because it won't leak as the boost pulls it shut.
I run my ssqv at 2.75bar and have no issues with it leaking.
I have an ssqv with a boost controller in line with the vaccuum source and means I get dump on full boost and chatter at low boost. best of both worlds, because at 2.75bar I feel without the dump valve I will damage the turbo
