When I was 18, most the pages of Max Power were stuck together with my sons older brothers ( ), but I remember seeing the Impreza's and 205 GTi's. Owned both so quite happy.
One of my first car memories was hearing the opening credits to Cannonball Run with that fantastic guitar intro and seeing the black Countach with a spoiler on the front!
Aww, I had a hard-on for that beast!

I've always been a bit of a car freak, seen a lot of the rare Ferraris such as the F40 and 250LM on the road but never thought "wow got to have me one of them".
I'd always wanted a quick saloon such as a Saab Carlsson or a Lancia Thema 8.32 but the first car I remember genuinely going nuts for was a Toyota Celica GT4 (T200) when I was 15. I'd been playing Sega Rally and when out later that day my dad's E320 was rinsed by one on a slip road coming onto the A46. I was massively into Motorsport at the time and seeing one of those cars at full whack on the road was quite am experience for me.
Later that year Subaru launched the 22B and I was in love . Got to drive one just three years later and thought it was friggin' awesome. I'm going to have to get one someday but unfortunately cannot justify blowing the house deposit on one!

An Impreza for me, just because of Colin's antics in L555BAT, saw the V3 Turbo2000 at the motorshow in '98 and promised myself I'd have one, 8 years later I did.
Fantasy car, GT40 and the original TVR Speed 12, the noise, OH the noise!
I also became quite obsessed with Porsche at that point, actually, it was just the 911 (964 and 993 Turbo). I'd still have one today if they weren't so bloody expensive.

I always wanted a MK2 Escort RS2000, I did buy a project one but never actually got it on the road.
After that my dream car was anything in the XR / RS Range. Did have a few but always wanted an Escort Cosworth (Still want one now)

I always wanted a scoob. I always thought of them as a £50,000+ car is a kid until my dad pointed out they were much more attainable......so 21st birthday saw me buy my first one and 18 months later I still have it! My dream car now (unachievable) is a Lamborghini aventador but my realistic dream car is a bmw m3!

A funny story to tell about the Speed 12.
In I think 2000 OR 2001 I was driving along a Motorway in the middle of the night then onto the A316 which comes off the M3.
I was in my R5 GTT that was stupidly loud. But as I got towards a speed camera to slow down I could hear another raspy noise over my car?
When I looked in my rear view mirror noticed this car up my backside so moved over.
When I did it was a TVR Speed 12 in black or dark blue. It was popping and crackling on over run up to the speed camera and as soon as it was safe this thing was off.
Great looking and sounding car. Not sure how many road versions they made but its an honour to have seen a real one in the flesh on the public road.
