can be from anything to be honest from oil vapour to crap ......

a compression test would be a must at this point , i would also check all the trigger points on the crank timing pulley and intake pulley on passenger side

I agree. How on earth can anyone says it's valves because of a wisp of smoke appearing out the intake after everything that has been happening with this car!!!

What I can't believe after all this is that there has been no firm confirmation of compression test & cylinder leakage test. These tests would confirm the condition of the engine & save time. There are only a few reasons why an engine won't run atall & any garage should be able to quickly diagnose it.

There doing test Saturday morning as it won't fire still and sensors have been changed etc!! but after checking everything else that's only thing they said left,, I told them to do it when free

Well compression test was finally done ,,

1- never read on gauge
3- never read on gauge

2- 45 psi
4- 110psi

There is the problem

sounds like he timing belt has moved and bent some valves mate
