Yup it is a strange one. He must be desperate for CL football if that's his destination. I don't like the guy but he is class and could surely do better than Arsenal if that's what he wants? Unless he just decided he loves winding the English fans up and wants to stay over here. Cant see any of the other big guns (excuse the pun) wanting him other than Arsenal

I doubt Bayern would want him. They know Lewondowski is their next year so they wont be looking to buy a striker for 30m this year IMO.

As for Wenger actually buying anyone decent I won't believe any of the rumours until I see it announced officially. Higuain has been a joke of a story going on and on.

Since when could Arsenal not afford him? if they break their own restraints they can afford anyone just as much as any other club in the world. Its well known the money is there to spend and they are going to start doing so. Surprised personally at the move for Suarez mind.

Arsenal are apparently upping their offer to £35m, I just don't get it as he is not the type of character we want at the club plus they have no chance of getting him for that anyway. Just wasting everyone's time and when the season starts Wenger will trot out the same old story of we tried but couldn't get the players we wanted

I don't get United publicly stating Rooney is needed as cover for Van Persie. Surely that's just going to wind him up even more. He wants to be first choice not a bench warmer so can't see him accepting that.

I didn't want him at Arsenal and it was never going to happen anyway, his only reason for showing interest in Arsenal was because he wanted to engineer a move to Real Madrid and force their hand but that wasn't going to be forthcoming due to their chase of Bale. I expect him to try it on next Summer to see if he ends up at Real.

As for us Gooners though, I can't see any big names turning up, even Gustavo is now on the radar of Napoli. That fat Spaniard Benitez really has got a thing about poaching Arsenal targets from under our noses. Serves Wenger right though for messing about over signings.
