you could match in the middle maybe lower
Village missing it's idiot alert!

OP I'd advise you to have a drive of all the models you've shortlisted and then make your mind up. The Type R will be the most fun and satisfying for A and B roads and track frolics. The Newage is more of an all round car but bigger and heavier so lacks the intimacy of the Classic.
Of the newage models unless you're going to go forged I'd stick with the two litre cars. Having owned both UK and JDM Blobeyes I prefer the JDM. Better performance, better power band (both lower and upper regions of rev range) and few more goodies over the UK equivalent. They lack the burble but I daresay the twinscroll scream is just as good. Plus the all important bidet (rear wash wipe)!
As an all round car my JDM Blob has been great over six years. Practical, fun to drive (although mine is modded) and utterly reliable. The fact I still own it after six years is a testament to how much I like the car. Plus I don't pay the extortionate RFL of the later UK cars. Insurance is cheap with Moley and parts (not that I've needed any) are easily sourced.

Yeah I'm thinking I need a few test drives before I decided, at this moment I'm slightly swaying towards a widetrack blob at the moment.

You wrote nothing what i and others did not write above kid.
in for sale section is nice p1 too for 8k.
main difference at jdm is quick rack steering, im sure troll above did not owe anything maybe his father or two fathers
linear power - jdm or m3 (even wrx has better kick)
kick - singlescroll
best road car -spec c with singlescroll

I've owned a few classics in my time. A well sorted P1 is an awesome machine but very very different drive to a type r or ra.

Test drive a spec C would be my advice.

Apologies for my indiscretion.
Spec C would get my vote too but I'd leave the twin scroll set up.
