Hi Scott
Depends on yours budget
Yours WRX should be OK for 350bhp(few guys has run 400bhp without the problem)
We are run before VF34 and this turbo has been great on 2.0L WRX,probably best turbo suited WRX,VF43 is better on STi than on WRX just due STi has have AVCs and on yours can be laggier than WRX,plus problem with VF43,they're prone to wastegate cracking
Exhaust 2.5" should be enough for 350bhp without the problem,
Fuel pump choice,I would choose HRC,HRC we are run at 490bhp
STi pink injectors you will need too
WRX TMIC should be OK for this power, but above that STI TMIC or FMIC will be better choice on longer run
About the gearbox choices,we are love PPG,we are run on 490bhp and we will be running with 2.35L and GT35R
When you are decide go with better engine,I can only recommend 2.1L stroker,we are run 2.1L and MDX321T and this combo has been made in heaven :-D

Bang for the buck, I'd say a used td05-16g (front entry converted) or a used vf34/35 are hard to beat. Both _probably_ wont make 350hp, but will get fairly close.
I used to drive a 350hp sc36 equipped car, and I found the power delivery to be really boring. It felt more like a NA car than a turbo car. The td05-20g was much more entertaining from this point of view IMO, and it gave you a proper kick in the back from about 3000 RPM onwards.

Just FYI there are lots of WRX's running around with more than 350hp on the standard gearbox and have done for a long time without any issues (clutch excepted).

Ohh I know theres a ton of cars pushing out more than 350 on the std box, but this is a DD so I want safe and reliable. I'm upgrading the clutch to an Exedy I think.
Lol, so many different opinions on turbos it's gonna be hard to choose!
Basically, I want it to 'feel' like it did when I very first drove an Impreza, but ideally boost a little earlier and longer than the TD04 with similar spool and obviously some more power

Personally I prefer a smoother delivery, it feels less likely to break!
