Funny thing is they end up dropping the price 9/10 times.

My philosophy is "if you don't ask you don't get" and it's saved me thousands over the years, I ALWAYS ask for a discount, even yesterday I bought some cement and got 10% off, not a lot in the greater scheme of things BUT every little helps, personally I think only mugs don't ask and pay full price for everything, must have more money than sense.
Well you wouldn't get it from me.
But it proves a point - 9/10 sellers overprice their goods.

Fair enough, I have no problem with a 90% success rate.

I would sooner try and get the seller to agree a rough price over email or on the phone as that way I won't be wasting mine and there time traveling to view the car if I know a deal can't be done. If we can find a common ground then I will be going wherever the car is with the intention of paying there and then and driving it away. I won't wast hundreds of pounds in petrol driving around the country only to get there and find the car totally different to what has been described in the advert. It's happened to me before and it won't happen again.

I never put 'ono' it cuts the haggling and awkwardness and makes the sale more pleasurable. You both know where you stand.

Who are you to say what my item is worth ?

Want it? Buy it. if not bugger of and go hassle someone else

As I told someone on here yesterday- this isn't Ebay!

I put a price on items for a reason.
