so why does the car come from the factory with a recirc valve fitted then?

you may be new so ill be the one to point out the impreza has a dump valve from the factory, it just dumps back into the intake and is called a recirc valve.

A lot o the bigger power cars run DV less and most of the noise is compressor surge usually and not the DV.

In my 8ish years of Scooby ownership I have had Forge, Perrin, APS, HKS and a bailey dv12.....for the last 4 years I have run the OEM one, Nothing comes close for drive ability and throttle response IMO
