Its an entire new core assembly, ball bearings were a little shot too.
its a md321h turbo which are ball bearing turbos, eg, not serviceable in the same was as a journal turbo..
still cheaper than 1600 for a new one eh lol

Well, i have my final diagnosis...turbo is toast! Exhaust turbine is shattered internally and lots of chunks of vanes missing, compressor side is ok.
new turbo core and rebuild...680£££!!
well, the lambda sensor is intact..does anyone know of any other sensors or anything else those bits of metal could be? I need to drop the entire manifold to look for more bits before the turbo goes back on

can they work on the garret md321h hybrids? as this turbo was developed by lateral performance and turbo dynamics i would have thought they were the only ones that have the parts?
