Matt - except mine looks better
Russ - mines a 99 "T". What about adding on for the colour coding, CD and 17" wheels - I know that you never recoup your outlay, but it's got to be worth something more - or maybe just easier to sell?
Neil - I'm not going to go for this one I think, but would be tempted by a good deal on a new one (if such a thing exists) - I'm going to speak to them today and I'll let you know how it goes!

Russell,
Depending on how I think negotiations are going I might just take you up on that offer - the only thing is I expect if I go in yours, then I'll just want one no matter how much!
Sorry to be stupid but what is an equal length manifold anyway?

Spike said they had fitted one.
We'll run a little side by side on the 12th ( as Mr Croney puts it 'just for scientific research' )
See ya on the 12th ( hope the Missus makes it - Has she any idea yet ? ).
Matt - You made a decision yet whether to buy ?

The update is that for a new one I am probably going to be looking at mine plus 17k - not going to happen at that price I can assure you, but we live in hope, so I think a visit may be in order, for some harder negotiating.
I was told that there weren't many P1's left so the chance is running out, but that there is the possibility of a "sensible" deal. Also told taht they had just underwitten one like mine (without the add ons though) for £12k, that means 10k+ depreciation in 18 months!!
It looks like it'll have to be a case of Mr Brembo and Mr Motec paying my car a visit
Thanks for all the help though guys, and if you hear of any going cheap let me know.

I considered the same at the end of feb.. against a 14 month old UK MY00, 9000 miles, no mods, bought from the dealer for full price.
The negotiating went:
Sales person "yours plus £16K for an ex-demo P1"
Me: "No"
Sales person (thinks...)"yours plus £16K for a new P1"
Me: "No"
Sales person (thinks real hard for a long time...)"yours plus £15K for a new P1"
Me: "OK, now I'm interested...but how much for the new P1 for cash?"
Sales person (thinks...)"£29.5K"
...so said no in the end - 'cos he was effectively offering me £14.5K for mine, which I didn't think was enough (then!)
