I had a RWD saphire mildly chipped to 290bhp and drilled discs. Felt pretty

good back then. Mine also had the cloth interior which was pretty hard wearing.

I think I prefer the standard wheels but would the brake conversion you have fit under them? Excellent colour choice by the way.

The ap brakes only fit under 17s with a certain offset, the standard wheels being 15s wouldnt fit. I do like the standard lattice or sharktooth wheels.

Beautiful car. I was looking at this one on Passionford for sale. I was tempted myself.
Loved my 4wheel Saff, I'd have another in a heartbeat.

On route to Larne.
Dopey bollox collected the car in Carrickfergus and within half an hour it was wrecked.

Cheers mate, I remember speaking to you on the phone ages ago about owning a Cossie as I knew you had one previously. I'm looking forward to going to Ford Fair in August.

I can't for the life of me remember his name, was about 20 years ago.

If I recall a very similar thing happened with Chris Shankly when he sold his Impreza.
I think it was written off within the spaces of a day.

Loved my Sapphire Cosworth back in early 90s.
The photo is of my 2 sons posing with it!

Some years later "like father" like son, they are both very much into their cars and the other photo is of their current modes of transport.

Bear in mind, they are now both Orthopedic Surgeons!!

Thanks for that.
I was very lucky that I took loads of photos as the boys grew up and spent many hours scanning/converting them all to jpg format.

Both coming out to visit me in Kuala Lumpur in September and we have weekend booked for Singapore GP plus Killers and Rihanna concerts!!

I was 21 and had a sapphire cosworth in magenta red with black leather.
Those where the days :-)

It was only 12 months old and an absolute hoot!
I always wanted the dark grey one.
