Type 25

Well, fwiw:
* Type 25's are as I understand numbered. Can't see an edition/model number in the ad.
* Type 25's have a Cossie bottom end, but retain the AVCS heads of the JDM
* ALL 'Types' are JDM's that have been enhanced.
The car might be worth the money, but don't pay the money on the basis that it is a Type 25.
The ONLY guarantee that it's a Type-whatever is the original invoice from Litchfield.
If it ain't got that, it ain't a Litchfield !

I'm not saying it isn't a T25, the badges look authentic and this appears to be no. 30. But from what I can see it appears to be based on a JDM rather than a JDM SPEC C.
Not all T25s have Cosworth bottom ends. Cosworth didn't even appear on the scene until after the blob eyes were all built. However, no doubt a lot of them have been rebuilt with Cosworth internals.

It's a bit close to call IMO.
Type 25s weren't necessarily Spec C's, but the ad says it is - and I don't think so, for reasons already mentioned.
A lot of the ad has been pasted from a write-up of the T25 (I think it might be from Evo or Autocar? - I've definitely seen that wording before).
There's also a lot of emphasis on 'Type 25' - the plaque, stickers and overmats all have a separate listing.
Presumably if it's been 'tweaked' with 'goodies' such as DV and induction kit it should have been remapped?
And one of the big selling points of a T25 was the handling. Why has the suspension been altered, and more to the point who did it?
To be blunt, if you own a car such as this surely you are an enthusiast who is going to ensure its SH is kept "Full". Failing to do so would possibly cost you thousands when it's sold?
A few too many questions for my liking to be honest.

I've just read the actual ad, seen the pictures and looked at the price.
For that condition car (as in how it has changed since being the original T25) it's not worth the money.... especially for a non wide-track version imo.
As already been stated... it's not a SPEC C, which in itself is not a major issue..... but it is for that price.
Keep looking.
