It's never personal, this is the internet, learn to deal with it.

And you got added value because you also have a mass of info and feedback if you ever decide to sell one to him/them
And we all got the usual added value of a bit of disharmony to keep us interested in the thread.
Fwiw I saw a couple of cars advertised by Hurst Cars that I fancied and I did my research and found no real negatives about them (the only ones at the time were that the prices were on the high side) and a lot of positives.
Unfortunately although advertised I was told that they had been sold.
Max has, on another thread, explained about issues deleting sold items and that's fair enough.
Incidentally, the car I eventually bought was the subject of a post on Southeastscoobies. Ironically it was that "Hurst will buy it and then stick 10grand on the price", obviously tongue-in-cheek.

It's nothing to do with a clique, it's just that a few of us know what we're talking about and have been around a while, you'll see us arguing with one another as well, difference being we don't take it to heart.

You've got to remember this is a business and any business will have it's ups or downs, i just prefer to keep my downs to a minimum as anyone would and everyone will have a different way on how they choose to run their business. I currently have a car getting a 6 speed gearbox rebuild at a specialist company in the UK. Putting it right allows me to sleep well and that's what counts. At the age of 15 i thought i was going to be playing cricket for England, life was not meant to plan out this way i can assure you. As for my father, he invested time, effort, energy in me to become a professional cricketer. But i'm happy with my job. But it's not been easy although it may seem very straight forward to some on here.

That's right, nothing personal. Some on here need to get over the fact that i sold their cars when they couldn't. It's ok, i have not taken any of this personally i can assure you i see you or anyone else on here no differently to prior this thread starting. Your welcome to get in touch any time regarding your 22b Huzzy when your ready.

So that's why you've played this thread with a straight bat and no spin.
(Sorry - couldn't resist )

On a serious note. Done 2 headgaskets in the last month, made sure they were both right prior sale, and got 2 6 speed gearboxes to do too with 5th gear crunching seems like synchro's. I wonder how many are being sold by dealers out there without them being declared or put right. Just giving an example of what's involved in my job and i'm not even touching the surface. But i'm sure you can get the picture.

Fwiw I think it also shows that you're not one of them and has given a good insight into what goes on behind the scenes.

Yes sorry that sold after being sat for 5 months. Surprising because it was a decent example with all the engine work being done with a new short block supplied and fitted by Subaru etc, also had a full Dealer history, but yes it went last week.
As for the 6 speed box's i was told they were unbreakable when i first got involved with them, but soon found out they weren't. Saying that widetrack sti boxes i've had far less problems with.

Bummer, I was gonna come and have a look once my Fiesta sold and I had the money, right in my price range. looked like a good one. I did email you through your website to get build number but you didn't reply. I was gonna check it's history through P1WOC.

Cut a long story short, the new msn hotmail setup does not allow you to see which messages have been replied to and which have not so totally unintentional and normally very good at responding to emails. All the best with the search for a p1

Maks is a gandu. Lol Only kidding yaar.
Tbh when I was selling cars I'd make it my mission to make at least £500 profit, sometimes I'd make more and sometimes I'd loose. It's just that game, you win you loose that's the nature of the business.
Hell if you can make £3k plus out of a car,so what! Don't buy it, obviousley someone bought it, end of.
Tbh maks has car on the top budget but I wouldn't say overpriced, he has special examples that have had good money spent on them inc forged ones, and I know he will check for bodge jobs and walk away.
If you don't like a price of a car walk away, but ime you pay the price for a quality car, people want cheap cars then have nemerous problems after. If its cheap then it's cheap for a reason.
If I was looking for a Subaru, then I wouldn't hesitate to drive 200+ miles to see maks if he had the car I was looking for.
