Great minds! I had been thinking of this idea since I put up my previous posts. We can rock the market, Lisa! You and I can beat that sticky insect Victoria Beckham for her tasteless crappy clothing she designs.

With this business idea, this time Next year, we will be millionaires!

Missed that.
No, I never said you said it is, either. My question was to all n' sundry tbh because general consensus seems to be going that way, that's all. You could have always said- "No, I don't support wimmins wearing bikini tops in food shops either. I'd rather them wear no tops at all".

I think inappropriate shirtlessness is a good gauge of an area, its either blokes who dont care or buff ones showing off, usually with some freshly done tattoos, or those scratty skinny ones you get outside manky pubs, all bluey white with veins having just had a hoody surgically removed.

So if someone is in good shape and well tanned, is it somehow okay? TBH living by the beach is shirt off city. The only thing that offends me is when someone is horrendously burnt.

A neighbour's sister in law complimented me the other day as I mowed the lawn shirtless. That doesn't happen often now I'm nearing 40...

Tbf I think it’s more down to location of said supermarket rather than the chain that dictates the customer base. Morrisons in Whitley, Reading is a chav fest as one would expect with most looking like tracksuit wearing dole scroungers. Same for Asda Lower Earley. Tesco in Wokingham seems fine as does Sainsburys in Winnersh.

Its just that your post in reply to my original one made it look as though I had said that. If you read it you may well agree with me.
I would not have said what you suggested above because I am a shy person and women in food shops without any tops would make me feel embarassed!

I work in Knutsford, I love it, my favourite of the Cheshire Posh towns, some ace pubs and restaurants round there, and Tatton park on the doorstep.

It is not a slur on the staff, it is a slur on the customers. For example, often hear stories like:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8484116.stm
http://metro.co.uk/2013/06/19/tesco-...-food-3847153/
You don't hear that at any other supermarket. Most normal people don't go out food shopping in pyjamas, it's the deals on certain kinds of foods, and convenience of location, that attracts the (dare I say it) 'lazier' consumer.
