You need to try some more pads, I see youre a ebc boy
Ok, so I think we all agree then. On the road it makes no difference, on track with warm slicks it does. I thank you.

Ah now I see, which ones? Blue, orange....**** all of them
Tbh they are ok for the odd blast etc but soon as you get some heat into them they don't inspire confidence, and I'm sure ebc orange made them so you would finish them in one trackday so you'd buy more nice try ebc

But BBY what I don't get is you saying that the cold feel was poor? I wouldnt of said so tbf, I thought the cold feel was ok and same when warm just you could t Cain them as apparently they were made for fast road use and tracks

You said a high speed stop which is what I'm refering to.

So where is that agreeing? I used the comment of slicks as an example for you to understand my meaning nothing todo with track.

Henrik, have you read this?

"If the cars weigh the same and stop from the same speed then there is no difference in the energy absorbed by the brakes. However, its always best to match all the features of the car. After all you legally must have tyres with a speed capability commensurate with the performance of the car even though there is a 70mph limit. Its the same with the brakes. The more power the engine has the more power the brakes potentially must absorb. A higher power car has potential for both higher speeds and greater acceleration making for greater power going into the brakes. You need to think about power not energy. The scenario of different power cars braking from the same speed in a one off event is simple. Both cars have the same energy so the brakes will generate the same amount of heat the brakes converting the kinetic energy into heat. However the higher power car has the ability to repeat the stop more frequently reducing the cooling time for the brakes, the temperatures will soon ratchet up. The other important factor is the speed. Kinetic energy is proportional to the square of the speed; if you increase the speed by 50% the energy rises by 225%. And finally there is the human factor. Someone who spent time and energy and money to boost the power of the car and then doesn't drive any harder than the original power is either a saint or not completely honest.

P.S. grooves and holes in the brakes increase the surface are so increasing the cooling rate (but not much)."

I might be able to get him to reply to specific questions if there are any
I don't think everyone is quite in agreement with you BTW

Good man, you won't be disappointed and don't worry about track I can assure you they won't fade if using proper fluid try making a brake stopper for better feel.
Keep your wheels clean with good quality wheel cleaner as I know your wheels are white

And as for the k sport pad question I know that k sport supply their own pad (maybe k sport pad not sure) but have heard its rubbish. So best getting better option with the kit as I know they do a few, the k sport pad come free with kit afaik.(or they used to)
Now then matey.
After all your raving I thought I'd give them a shot and was very impressed. They're the ones in the link below and yes they do mucky the wheels!

I'm glad someone has taken my advise on board
Rc6 top man, I had same. Keep on top of them white wheels though. They tend to squeak a bit more than the rc5+ but I belive these are more powerful.
Blymey, did you buy these last year? (by that link it's 2012)
What was you running prior, can't remember.

Yeah they do squeal a bit. Prior to these I had some standard disks and pads and was contemplating a change of caliper. However Banny kindly donated the PF disks and I coupled them with the CL pads. A decent combo and saved me a fair few bob. They have been in a while but I daresay the car has hardly been driven a lately due to my back issues. In fact I bought it at 23k miles and now it's on 33k that's in six years of ownership.

Cool, bannys a nice gandu hey.
How is your back coming along anyway, hope the pain has eased, did the doctor give you dothepien as painkillers?
Tbf the cl rc6 are a bit overkill for town stop/start driving but once you get above speeds the squeaking dissapears and some fun starts never bothered me, just got used to them as my bad experiences from other combinations.
