you really can't beat a cup of "builders" tea (PG Tips is our tipple of choice)
it took my wife over 20 years to appreciate it, she used to drink all that perfumed crap
mind you she is sooo posh, when I bought her a Swatch watch from Argos in Shepherds Bush back in the mid 80’s she genuinely thought it was a racket for dealing in stolen goods
all that collecting it from a counter by the great unwashed

Yep, to be honest it's something I feel pretty strongly about as it just gets wearing and much like when Muslims were the repeated targets on here a few years back I just don't think it makes for a comfortable place for any gay members to visit!
I know it's ostensibly in jest, but it is just so repetitive/frequent on here and to be honest I think it is also very immature, but that's just an opinion I know. I am not singling you out btw, it's a trend I see more and more from a large number of posters.
I just said to the mods that I felt if I were gay I wouldn't feel very comfortable with the level of 'gayer jokes' etc. on here and hence any gay members/visitors may feel the same and suggested they take a look and make a judgement.
They obviosuly have decided that pulling the posts was a sensible idea! That's all!

I also find overtly homophobic views offensive and for example support same sex civil partnerships.
However I think the posts you have responded to have not been of that nature at all. Nobody has suggested that homosexuality is wrong/evil etc or that homosexuals should not be treated equally and their sexuality play no part in the way they are treated in society. If they did I would be the first to voice my opposition.
However if somebody suggests YOU are a bit ghey for watching videos of fluffy cats that is not the same thing. You may find it personally offensive but I don't feel you have the right to be offended on behalf of all homosexuals.
A gay friend of mine once asked me advice on which car to buy. He suggested something a bit small and girly and before thinking I said the car was a bit gay. I was about to apologise but before I could he burst out laughing and agreed it was very gay.
He himself often describes certain things as being very gay so I'm not sure if using that sort of language is actually homophobic. So if you had overheard me saying that to my friend/colleague you would have probably reported me to HR because YOU have been offended on behalf of the gay community even though the only gay person there wasn't.
If I said you were a big girl for watching videos of fluffy cats and having tea drinking protocols would you then be offended on behalf of all girls??
Going to the mods because somebody says you are a bit gay is quite sad to be honest. It's also a bit patronising to gay people, if a gay person read this thread they'd wonder what the fuss was all about and probably tell you to man up and grow a pair.

I also agree that calling something a bit gay or girly once in a blue moon is fine and I too have friends who are gay who would laugh were you to say that.
Howver of late on Scobynet it has become the de facto response to anything not judged as being manly by the SN Massive. I am not picking on you alone, but a whole group of posters who repeatedly call something gay, refer to gheyers, shirtlifters, bum bandits etc, etc.
Don't believe me? Go to the search and put in a few of those terms, you will be surprised at the number of posts returned!
Maybe it isn't genuine homophobia, but it is definitely viewing homosexuality as some sort of weakness to be repeatedly ridiculed!
I will concede that for me I think it is compounded by the fact that I see it is as childish and immature and I think hunour can be much more sophisticated and probably should be when we get past the age of 12!! That is just my opinion though and doesn't count for much in the overall argument.
All I asked the mods to do was look at it in that context and make a judgement... they did! If that has spolt your fun then I am sorry, but I have always been one to put my viewpoint across no matter what the consequences and I am not about to change now! If I feel strongly about something I will say so even if it goes against the grain!

Fagg0t, however, is pretty offensive but if someone called someone that, I wouldn't expect it to be reported to authorities.
I asked a mate about this today actually and he said "yes, I did feel a sudden shift in the 'gay force', I was just standing there and for some reason I felt offended but didn't know why. Then, all of a sudden I was ok again, almost as though someone on the internet had rtm'd someones comments and they had been removed"......

I drink at least 20 mugs of tea every day . Dilmah , boiling hot in a pre heated Royal Darlington bone china mug. A small amount of milk and only enough sugar to inhibit any bitterness. I always take a mug into the toilet before a bowel evacuation - including 2 slices of dry hot wholemeal toast. I have the butter and "Rhapsodie de Fruit" strawberry jam on the plate separately and add to the toast just before taking a bite. Magic.

BTW, if your food intake is before your bowl evacuation, and you don't mean that you multi-task while performing the action in question, why not eat in the dining room before you enter the toilet, and leave the plate behind? How can you eat in the room where you poo? Doesn't it make you feel like chundering or something?
