I can't bring myself to vote for the P1 just because it's a Subaru. It looked good, went well but it was flawed. Not properly mapped and set-up for UK fuel was inexcusable. A few tweeks and dangle some sacrificial octane enhancer tabs in the fuel tank was a bit marginal on Prodrives part.
The GTR is far more worthy.

I'm not bothered TBH, I'm actually wondering why the P1 is actually in the 'Greatest cars' when there are far more better Imprezas around.
That's the trouble with the internet, even the naive and stupid have an opinion..

Nobody can argue the P1 was this and that because it wasn't, the only thing it was was a watered down Type R.

Hardly a great shortlist, but P1 over an Atom, Zonda, Veyron, 458 etc..... Really? I love my Impreza and I love a Scooby, but at least I have the good sense to know when it's out of it's depth. Even the Focus is arguably a better choice - the award is best car of the last 20 years, not fastest, best looking etc etc and the Focus when it was released was a proper game changer for the masses. I remember when the MK2 came along EVO magazine did a 4 or 5 page spread on 'Why we love the Mk1 Focus' - praise indeed when a performance car mag is doing a spread on a humble 1.6 petrol family hatchback. I'm with the Atom though cause to me it's the car from the list I want the most and no other reason.

lol cant believe people sit there and get their knickers in such a twist,
vote if you want to vote, dont if you don't want to simple,
P1 had things over imports as did imports over the p1,
other cars on the list are just as worthy of your vote,
no need to get into a slagging match lol

Im lucky enough to have seen, touched and even sat in a veyron, its not a car its a work of art. Its the easy winner from the list just on the engineering alone.
I did however vote for the P1, not because I like them because I don't but because im doing my bit for the subaru community. ...lol....
