That is a proper job mate everywhere ,,,they are sponsors for the scooby club I help run so done me a good deal and I have loads done there aswell ,,
Spoke to wrapping company's and they all said the same ,,,you will see blue in the shut lines and was a lot more expensive than 1k
But I agree it has to be right and it will be as I love my scoobs mo than anything and iv got the three I'm keeping so no worries about re selling

Happy days then chap, you'll have a result there. Will look stunning in white too, especially with black wheels.

When I looked into it there were a few issues to overcome including the above. You also need to reconcile the DBW and ECU/Loom changes. It can definitely be done as anything is achievable with the right approach, but the ability to "throw a sti8 lump in for £1500" is misleading to what's actually involved mechanically and financially

Well, I went for it.
I am now the proud owner of a 2003 sti ppp blob and a 2005 sti ppp hawk!!!!
Runs and sounds as smooth as my last 2 scoobs!
I called a load of specialists who said itso when you take the car above standard bhp the gaskets have problems.
Now comes the fun part of working out if the exhaust from a blob a will fit a hawk and if a blob vent will fit a hawk or if the ht autos one fits perfectly! Anyone know off hand?

Well I have had the best of luck with my other 2 so I'm carrying that faith forwards into the next many years of scoob ownership!
Best get cleaning the beasts, one to sell and one to drive!

Iv been told by advanced automotive (sponsor my club also) that its a fairly easy conversion and nick (owner) knows me well enough to know I can do the work myself and iv seen long blocks going for 1300 with low miles ,,,also been told the ancilarys with fit aswell so no major issues there,,,,so I think 1500 for fitting it myself is a fair cost as iv allowed a couple of hundred for bits needed aswell
the 2.5 is drive by wire, the 2.0 is not, so its not really a straight swap on the ancilarys

Iv Been told by a major engine and subaru specialist that its a fairly easy conversion and I trust them as they are very good at there work ,,,,the drive by wire is only on the throttle body so can't see it being hard to change even if you can't just swap manifolds

When I did I say I had faith in it ? Iv said its still fine at 380 and not all of them go bang and that's facts but considering I own 3 imprezas that I drive very hard and track then isn't it best to have a spare laying around that would fit at least two of them ?,,,,and I also prefer the 2.0 for the track so it just makes sense to change it if/when it goes

I phoned scoobynet clinic, extreme scoobies, a mechanic mate of mine that has had 7 scoobs, api and another 2 that I had on google.
They all told me the same pretty much.
Anyways I am very happy with my new baby
But I am and will be constantly checking everything and treating it well.

Yup. That it is weaker than the 2.0l but it is ok at standard bhp (even when I said ppp)
Scoobyclinic said its when the engine is working at over 350bhp it can put extra stain on it.
Extreme scoobies said they had changed head gaskets / rebuilds in all models of scoobies and didn't find one to go more than the other. And that they had had a variety of millages too.
