If you read my post properly, you will note that I said whilst it was used as a defoliant, it had side effects.
Those side effects were known at the time, yet it was used anyway. This to my mind makes it an offensive weapon

I think that calling it an offensive weapon in a thread about nerve agents (as seen on TV) is bordering on the tenuous, however we are each entitled to our opinions.
I am not sure about the last bit of your post?
For example, I certainly wouldn't say the America as a nation is no better or worse than Syria in the context of this thread. You may think otherwise.

I would agree that it is a chemical weapon that is intended to be offensive to trees (and consequently,to your sensibilities).
I think that calling it an offensive weapon in a thread about nerve agents (as seen on TV) is bordering on the tenuous, however we are each entitled to our opinions.
