Ferrari beater, best story I ever heard. Still laugh at it now, even Roald Dahl would have been proud of that story!!!

Bitch please tell me why the legendary STI is soooooooo fantastic that you have changed just about EVERYTHING that makes it soooooo great.

OOOPs I know, it's a wanabe Spec C, but you couldn't afford one of those so you decided to try and make your UK STI into one.

Well done, scoobynets biggest knobber.

I regularly drive a Blob WRX PPP for a friend who doesn't use it often. Nice motor and capable of humbling the odd supercar on a B road but it's no STI.

When it comes to tuning it is also a far better place to start than a WRX unless you plan on throwing mega bucks at it in which case it is merely a better place to start. That is also said with the utmost of respect to some of the people on here with tuned WRXs that would obliterate my current ride (Wiley and Jura for example).

is that your best effort, couldnt afford a spec c

i prefer to build my car to my requirements as its a hobby of mine. i could of bought two spec cs by now the amount of money thats been chucked at mine.

the car was merely a base to start a project on as it has the better parts like 6 speed box and strong engine and if you knew anything about subarus you will see mine is nothing like a spec c it merely has a couple of spec c parts namely the seats and roof vent.

I usually get there a couple of hours before you and smash your Mrs's back doors in, then she licks my chocolate lolly pop just before you get back, which is the reason her breath smells like a toilet.

There's a guy at work who has a standard rusty 1993 1.25 Fiesta, who reckons that it eats Subaru's off the lights and always has a racing story. Guess what nobody talks to him and everyone laughs behind his back, If you going to write stuff like that on a forum that can be viewed by millions of people, expect to get some banter!!!

A bit of banter is one of the main reasons I still bother with this site and as I typed my "tall tale" I knew i'd get a load of stick for it, but it did happen exactly the way I said in the OP, not in the manner it's now being depicted by crocket and tubbs, but hey no reason to let the truth get in the way of a bit of banter, and to be honest i'm sure the guy in the ferrari was p!ssing himself and thinking what a ****, just the way I do when someone in a STI thinks they can have me off the lights but it's all good fun and no harm done.

Now pull your tongue out of tubbs ****, he aint all that.

short version is I overtook a truck on a very twisty local road, then noticed a ferrari behind me so gave the poor rover a good spanking and the ferrari couldn't pass me, mostly due to lack of opportunity and the speed we were traveling at, but he did try a few times.

I cooked the rover's head gasket in the process but I was always expecting that from it anyway cos it's a rover init.

The point that was being made in the thread was that it doesn't matter how much power you have if you can't get it down or don't have the opportunity to use it then you can even get held up by a poxy 103bhp rover under certian circumstances.

It's now become snet legend along with my driving skills that I wiped the floor with a ferrari in my mrs 1.4 rover 25, but hey that's the tinternet for you.

Edit to add; the ring taxi thing was someone posting a vid following the ring taxi and i said that 9.12 wasn't a particularly fast lap, but the lad drove a nice clean lap, so again as things go on snet thats now turned into me beating the ring taxi in a rover 1.4.

C'mon thats not entirely correct...You also mentioned in the Rover vs Ferrari jackanory (in your words) "Infact he had trouble staying with me"

......and as for the Ring tall tale you told the guy who posted the video that you can lap quicker than him in the wet than he can in the dry...

As ive said previous, how a driving talent like yours has gone unnoticed all these years is a real shame for British Motorsport.

Tell us the one about how you met your wife where by you had to slay a dragon, climb a beanstalk into the sky and take on seven dwarfs for her hand in marraige... I like that one

You really should spend less time on the internet trying to get a rise out of other people and concentrate on your own risings, that way your Mrs might stop playing away quite as much as she does.
