You mean you'll be paying for it over the next 5 years in increased premiums

Quick point - get a copy of the Invoice or worksheet when it's fitted, to add to the SH.

Makes little difference if you're insured with Gary Moulson

I don't think you loose NCB or payments will increase over a windscreen claim.

i had a stone chip in my spec c windscreen a few years ago... they came out and done that suction cup thing and bonded resin into it to secure it.
what would have been wrong with that? you hardly notice it once it's done, been rock solid ever since.
i wouldn't have thought insurance would have stumped up to replace it unless it was unsafe?

Its more than just a chip. When the sun hits it I cant see a thing through it.
Also wont affect next years insurance.
Happy days.

Glad you got it sorted Andy.
Always interesting to see how much interest and replies a Spec C thread gets.

I just can't believe that an insurance company would happily wear a £1500+ bill for a windscreen.
That is probably double or maybe even triple your yearly premium.

I've always wondered how much a rear screen for one of those pugs can't temember what the model is called now...You know the one it looks like a gay Audi TT with the wavy rear screen, Wouldn't surprise me if they are dearer.
