Tyre size for classic

I'm on 205/45/17 on my classic's Prodrives - find them a little crashy over rutted roads, otherwise smooth as you like.
Seen a couple of the same alloys on eBay with 225/40s on, though - as per my previous thread. Planning to get the 225s off and my 205s on.

225 eh, not a classic then?
https://www.scoobynet.com/tire_rim_calculator.php
put the 215/40/17 in the current tyre section then what you wish / have already got on underneath.
but if you're running a newage, refer to owners handbook regarding tyre profile originally supplied, this thread is about classic

So does that mean my speedo reads fast or slower?

Errm yes it is, the law states you can under read but not over read (or is it the other way round ), your bigger circumference and that 2.5% means your speedo is slower than the actual speed, ie its saying 30 and you are doing 33mph, thats illegal, its ok the other way round though within 10%
