Lol Subaru ownership is like the Matrix, why oh why didn't I take the pink pill.

Was it a silver wagon by any chance? Might of been me a while back.
You wouldn't of had any chance though even if you had a head start

This is like one of those extremely un-funny jokes you get in a christmas cracker, you are deluded if you think a 225 wrx is quicker than a sti, the wrx ppp can sort of keep up but it is not faster, dont confuse your own opinions with actual facts mate, i had an 03 wrx ppp and raced my mate in his wr1, he shat on me and hes not the best driver, i raced another mate in a bog standard 05 sti, we were almost neck and neck at the beginning of 2nd gear then guess what, he shat on me

You cant beat having a good laugh reading a **** swinging contest. I might have to look on VW polo forums because a young kid with his bird gunned it and left me from the lights in my RS yesterday, reckon he might be telling the polo forums of his great achievement

a WR1 has 316 bhp. Also a WRX can be doing 65 in 2nd so what I'm claiming is getting confirmed by you all! You really have to launch a WRX hard though to get that long first going.

Did you ever get your PPP figure verified? A lot of tuners I've spoken to say the claimed 265 is fantasy.

It's not all fun and games, I've always been hammered by Astra Gsi's for some reason and a Mini Cooper with 3 lads in it made me feel like I was back in my old yellow Fiesta 950.

My endless rants about removing the cig lighter, stickers on the battery etc to save weight!

I kinda just update the progress thread to remind me what I've done and when etc. I'd do another on here but everyone is very cynical!

We all know that STis are cannon fodder to seven year old Focus STs and E60 M5s on the 'ring have to worry about heroically-driven WRXs but now it's the turn of 380bhp Evo owners to worry!

Mr Gill you better be careful one day you're going to take on a Ferrari at the lights and as you dice the dual you're both going to be rinsed by a Rover

Will they appreciate the race results section?

10-2 v Scoobs
1-2 v Evo's
1-2 v Astra GSI's
0-1 V Mini Cooper's
1-1 v Porche's
0-2 v RS4's
1-0 v RS3's

TBH thinking back I've only really ever troubled STI's.

Well, I for one can say that I think this thread has been incredibly useful and I must say, I am convinced now. Tomorrow, my Scooby WRX will be up for sale and I am buying a 1.2 Corsa Eco. All I can say is watch out, as I pull 50 meters ahead whilst you wait for your turbo to spool up, it will be too late, I'll be gone, waving my ***** in my rear view mirror and boasting about my victories on chavs.net.

Why I ever wasted my money on a Scooby WRX when I could be having more fun in a Corsa is beyond me.

Why would you even rev a wrx with a puny TD04 anyway near 7200, its out of puff way before then....

Clip of Billy holding boost to 7400, 13.7 sec 1/4 at a 96mph terminal.

I have the AET printouts upstairs to show the car holding a steady 1 bar. Trying for 1.4 might have been a different story.

All I saw was 2 cars on a drag strip, couldn't see a rev counter or a boost gauge.

Oh, and my unmapped WRX will **** all over your car.

Like has already been said, there's always going to be someone with a faster car out there.

Billy was running 260bhp on the vid, you probably would have beaten him to the line that day, he's gained a few horses since then and lost a few more pounds.

Muhahahahah

SteveBT's Blob was running circa 500bhp, and Finn's Type R was 440 bhp, 2.5l.
