I can't see what you're all fussing about, this isn't Mumsnet is it?
THey didn't even manage 175mph, a fair bit less if the 280kph was from his clock.
He was right, the guy on the bike had no bottle.
Although it does take more bottle to push a bike than a car (and more skill) so we can cut him a little slack I suppose.

I think there's a big difference between ***** and being a reckless ****!
It's bad enough doing that on an empty road but get it wrong at those speeds in that volume of traffic and you invariably take someone innocent with you.
I won't deny watching that video to the end out of fascination though those R8s in v10 form are impressive machines.

If I had been in one of the other vehicles my first thought would be
"They're going for it" and not "What if a child gets hurt".
I'm not condoning it, and not denying I haven't done similar-ish things myself, as ultimately being a bit lairy gives a buzz.
There is increased risk for sure, but that's the buzz.
Do that sort of thing on a regular basis and it will end badly, because somebody will lane change on you at some point. At that point I would certainly rather be in the car.

I love to hear some of the new comments they made me smile
,and if you have ever driven any proper quick vehicle 500+ you would know how much of a idiot those guys were as said before it only takes a little misjudgement at those speeds and it's game over.just imaging your parents or your wife with your children in the back of there car just taking a smooth ride down to the seaside and by no fault of there own being hit by that jackass at those speeds, would you be talking the same?.i doubt it there's a time and place for driving like that it's called ...THE TRACK.SJ.

More so for me as the chap almost knocked me off my bike a week or so before this pic was taken.
I'm not sure if anyone remembers a while back a guy trying to sell a VX220 that he said was straight on a Vauxhall forum then loads of pics turned up with the same reg car with accident damage on it. The guy used loads of excuses saying his brother owned a dodgy repair shop, well i saw this R8 sat in its sorry state outside those very premises.
If you had children and someone wove past you like that at those speeds, trust me you wouldn't be so flippant about it. Doing those speeds on an open road to me might not be legal, but as long as nobody is about then you can only hurt yourself.

Hate bikers, and cyclists. Especially in and around london, have a bloody death wish.
Some sensible ones out there, but the general populatin of cyclists and bikers are arseholes. Its hardly any wonder so many get killed the way they ride

"Failing to look properly was the most frequent cause of crashes for all vehicles except motorcycles. Motorcyclists were most likely to crash through ‘loss of control’ and also most likely to be the victim of someone else failing to look."

This is what happens when you give an idiot a machine he is ill equipped to handle. To be fair that applies to the majority of these *********. I saw one this morning fly past a line of traffic at about sixty miles an hour. I shuddered to think what would have happened if a car had pulled out or a pedestrian stepped out.

I've watched it and whilst it's not commendable, it's not as bad as what some people are saying. No-one crashed, no-one was hurt - you can say 'what if.....' all you like but if you think like that, you'd never leave the house in the morning for fear of what might happen.
I don't see many people berating ghost rider in the Subaru videos....

I had a Kawasaki ZX12R until fairly recently. Now that was a real powerhouse, and it handled very well too. It was quite an experience to wind it up to the ultimate along a runway which was not in use for flying at the weekend. Very well designed 'bike with a low centre of gravity because of clever design. It felt like a much lighter machine because of that design.
Took me back to those good old days when I used to own a Vincent White Shadow. How I wish I still owned that one believe me!
