Beautiful warm breezy and sunny day here in Cambs

Just mowed the lawn and garden, and did a garage, shed re-org to create little space to put the Caterham in for the winter

Looking forward to a v early o'clock drive to Sheffield tomorrow, should be fun

Anything interesting happend yet?

The local news has reported a bill board has falling down in the town center( probably more to do with shabby workmanship) but apart from that its all clear here apart from a little rain.

Persistent heavy rain in Welwyn Garden City @ 22:15. Makes lighting a smoke a bit interesting. No wind as yet.

Maybe you should go out and take your spoiler off just incase something bad happens?

So it seems once again the weather forecasters got it wrong. Still it's funny watching the media clammering for some death and destruction and finding little to none. They love nothing more than a natural disaster bringing misery and sorrow to a nation especially if that nation is Britain. I am constantly surprised they don't have a deaths totaliser on the screen in the old Blue Peter appeal stylee!

No storm here in South Wales, according to the met office we were right in line for the worst.

My boys football is still sat in the same place in the garden!

Nothing in Worcestershire, bit of rain overnight but pretty normal....

And yet on the radio this morning it seems like every rail operator in the south has suspended services, they've shut the Dartford bridge, etc. Is it really that much worse down south?

Oh and we took the boy to Drayton Manor yesterday to go to Thomas World, whilst looking round the zoo section later in the afternoon a branch fell off a tall tree and landed on me. Freaked me out but no harm done though it could have been a lot worse if it were a bigger lump of tree No injuries so no blame claim to be had

It tracked further south. Worst hit were places like devon, dorset, hampshire. We got some blustery weather in Glos, mainly rain tbh so nothing major.

Well.. wind ripped out part of roof in our building - about 1.5m x 2m wide roof window which opens in case there's a fire to let the smoke out, so that's i guess somewhere on the roof with the whole mechanism, as it's missing!

And on the way to work (2 miles only) which usually takes about 7 minutes to get to, took about 15-20 just to find a way to get there! 2 closed by police due to trees on road, so took back alley - flooded, had to turn around again and had two choice and one of them was via woods to go around, but decided to drive under one of the trees.. should have asked missus to take more photos of other trees, but didn't really thought about it.

Was a tight squeeze, probably millimeters of the kerb.

Looking at it, just at about 3 miles radius, saw over 7 BIG trees down on roads or houses and loads of smaller ones.

even before the storm was fully formed

Lot's of trees down near us making the trip to work a bit of a road nightmare. Power cables and a tree fell in front of out car and I am grateful we were able to see it from 50 yards in front of us on the straight road. Glad most people have had it light
