Yeah maybe, there is a slight leak on the flex section which is blowing, and it has equal length headers... Duncan says that may have cost me a little bit...

Either way though I do think I will be on the hunt for a manifold which gives me back the burble! Anyone know any rough prices for these? They easy to swap over?

Get a standard one that's been ported, nice and cheap and proven to work, that coupled with a Harvey trick up pipe will do the job nicely IMO, equal length tho IMO is the way forward, gain more torque and equal flow from the heads, hence why they come standard on the Jdm cars as they are superior

Would you not have to get the map adjusted if you swapped them over? Why would anyone want to put equal headers on? Genuine question

Answers my question then lol

It can be down to the design on the manifolds bud, some can prove to be more restrictive than beneficial, there was a thread a while back where someone had a bad set of headers, they swapped them out for the standard item and it released the rest of the power they were missing, I'm not implying yours are like that by any means but just goes to show what some people class as "upgrades" can be the downfall to a car, I personally have no idea if equal length work better on higher powered cars to less modified ones, but they do give you a better torque figure over unequal due to the way they flow the exhaust gasses and the unequal ones are what give the Subaru rumble its noise, the equal length can't be that bad or Subaru wouldn't have used them on the later newage twinscroll models, they probably had to change the design for the twinscroll model tho I would imagine

Cheers mate,

think i will look at swapping them over as i would like the burble and if im not gaining anything from keeping the one's i have, nothing to loose really - are they easy enough to swap over do you know mate?

Yes bud pretty straight forward, stick your head under the car and your will see 3 bolts either side on each head where the manifold bolts up, and 3 on the manifold to up pipe, just have a look at what up pipe your running as some aftermarket sets of manifolds I've seen come as a complete unit where the manifold and up pipe are 1 item so double check what yours is first as you may need to change the up pipe to suit if the design is different to the OE ones.
