I've never tracked the scoob but other cars like the Clio/ep3 I'm sure were tested at higher rpm, probably wrong though my memory is awful lol

Oh, for all those that want to do Bedford Autodrome.
They DON'T do drive by test anymore ! Only static one and not to every car I think. When I came I was asked if I need a noise level test ? So... It looks like random cars can be picked from the track if they too loud.

Right, so, if I had a db meter, how do I go about measuring it. I mean, is there a certain distance that I must have the device away from the car,?, and what speed/rpm do I do a drive by at?

As for revs, I was asked to hold it at 4500 revs so think/guessing that other tracks do it same way.

LDNSTi,
If you live near to the track you want to do just go there and ask for noise level test. They'll do it free of charge.

Don't know buddy. Easy to check :-)
Before I did my first trackday (21.10 this month) I read that BA is the most strict track for noise levels which it wasn't in the end :-)

Bedford track is 101db MAX on static test.

Try before you buy ref the helmet. I wear specs and they are not all the same. That exhaust is nice, fancy a change soon so will keep an eye out.
