WTF is going on in this country?

Back on topic......
Any word on the little girl who was attacked?

This kind of thing does seem to happen more and more often.
I do fear for my kids growing up in this rotten society.
There is always the question I suppose, has it always been this way, only now we hear about it more often through the ever expanding media outlets?? Possibly a bit of both.

You are confusing my stance on asylum seekers with that of legal immigrants. I have no issue wth the latter, but big issues with the former or rather the way we seem to welcome them with open arms and don't even know how many are even here! Australia has it about right IMO!
Diddums!
Or maybe you just have more money than me which is fine, but there are certain things I need to put in place financially before I can do it the way I want to! By the way where do you get 10 years from? Anyway if you don't think I have the ***** then I won't lose any sleep over it if that's OK with you

I didn't believe it was the same person at at first as it was actually a polite post and even pays a compliment to forum users. There's even a thank you in there too!!

And ultimately achieve or do **** all
What a prize peanut

Also in response prior to your edit, if you look past all the personal snipes and insults, yes he still is. I think he just uses this place to vent, everyone needs an outlet, all harmless banter at the end of the day, I wouldn't, for example, intentionally cross the road to punch him, just don't take it personally, he sure doesn't.

Ah yes, forgotten I had written that. That would have been just before my father died and my mother had a stroke leaving me to help look after her as she was half paralysed, fShe died a year of so ago meaning that I could turn my attention back to emigrating. But of course anyone else would just have emigrated anyway. What a prize peanut I am to stay behind just for family. How I wish I was a real stand up guy like you... NOT!

Secondly, is it any wonder that people would think anything else of you? You're a self-centred, arrogant, argumentative overbearing pr1ck that is hell-bent on putting this country down and quite frankly, and i'm sure I speak on behalf of 99% of people on this forum, i'll be glad when you finally decide to up sticks and pi$$ off to Narnia or wherever this amazing, perfect utopia you seem to think exists is.

Secondly , you were lucky you were close to them and able to look after them when illness struck ,
All my family emigrated to oz with the exception of me and my brother
And I mean all , over the years my aunts uncles , gran , grandad and most of my dad's side are in the states
My parents were over there but returned with my gran so it sort of made a split on that side of the family , my gran returned and later took Ill and died before my mum could return back to see her , , my grandad had prostrate cancer and also suffered a stroke , one day while out in the garden fell out of his chair and lay suffering in the heat and nearly died ( good old caring neighbours ) but hey could have been worse , could have done the same in the uk and died of hypothermia , (by the same good old caring nieghbours )
My mum then found out she is terminally ill so doesn't want to return to Australia
My cousin who's in engineering over there does exactly the same as me ( welder fabricator ) he's lost his job and decided to work for himself , business is slow and he's struggling a little at the moment , my other cousin who's a mechanic has also just lost his job too
My grandad has also shot himself in the head with a shotgun because he could no longer cope with his illness and loss of independence
all my family have done the Australia utopia thing and has life for them been a fantastic bed of roses , nope has it ****
Life is what you make it , not where you make it
Miss fortune , Ill health , crime , you name it can and does strike all over the world
I could sit and whine and moan about the state of the country we live in but I'd rather put my energy into making the most of what I've got
And not chasing rainbows

Firstly may I say also as in the above post I am sorry you've lost your parents ( sincerely )

But it has for lots of folk , and I'm not gonna post it on here because it just looks as if it's an attention seeking /sympathy thing
I only posted that bit because I think it demonstrates how your life can be good or bad no matter where in the world you live
It's all about your outlook and trying to keep positive that's important
Which is something that certain folk on here seem to struggle with
Especially
Prize peanuts

If (big IF) he goes, he'll still be on here smugly telling everybody what a great decision he made to emigrate, how he wished he'd done it earlier, and informing us what a bunch of mugs we are for staying whilst still running down this country.
This is the wonder of the internet.
Jon, congratulations on your use of the search function, a useful tool in the fight against bullsh1t, and one that has been used by F1-fan on numerous occasions as part of his points-scoring agenda. Touché.

Even if it goes t1ts up for him, he wouldn't have the ***** to say so. He's far to up himself (for some unknown reason) to admit that he would have made the wrong choice.

Couldn't agree more which is why aside from one exchange with Ali, that he subsequently removed at my suggestion, Ihave never mentioned it. Trouble is when you get idiots like jonc making dumb comments then the situation needs to be explained so perhaps they engage their sorry excuse for a brain next time before posting like a ****!!

Must admit if I could live my life again I would go to Aussie
The boys been out there for two years with his gf and not coming back
3 times the salery and living at under twice the cost of living in the uk so it's good for him as a nurse basically looks after drunk aborigines then OAP who have dementia
But to go out to Aussie as a unskilled person looking for the gold you might come back penniless but with great memories as its a fantastic country
Me I'm going out there in a few years time when I retire for 4 months of the year
Live at the boys house
Get myself a weekend only job in a shop /cafe as they pay $40 dollars per hour as they can't get weekend workers in Adelaide and spend the week exploring
The more I hear about Aussie the better it sounds but you will need a lot of money
F1 Fan
He is ( and admits it ) is the most hated man in scoobynet but posts up some great threads as a classic wind up man
Toneh as the mapping revolutionary is now a serious poster with some great jokes but also mixes it with personal things which make us all aware how life can be really unfair at times
Jonc is rapidly rising up the ranks and a great apple baiter to the legend
Jack Clark who is dedicated to his apple cause and certainly reels them in
Tubby is the master of all winds up replacing ps lewis who has retired
Keeps us all busy as subarus are finished with no one buying them anymore due to petrol/ running costs / rust or chocolate engines so threads like this keeps us going as so many of the other forums are becomeing tumbleweed as fb takes over the forums

That's why everything. Is so expensive in Adelaide
The shops can't get shop staff to work weekends as they all want to be on the beach with the families so jobs are plenty and it's double time for weekends work
Boys misses gets $20 per hour as a basic shop wage wed -fri and double for a Saturday shift
One of her friends is a waitress at nights as again unsociable hours so high rates of pay and works sat Sunday and gets over a grand a week
Job centres were advertised $600 for weekend shop workers and £800 for mon -friday shifts
Beer was $10 a bottle and **** are over $25 a packet as Aussie is very clean living
And pretty much crime free
We read the Adelaide on line newspaper and shoplifters or a mugging is a front page headline
We were there a month and never saw litter ,vandalism or drunken hooligans out on the nightclubs generally not cool to be drink in clubs
That's why people have takeaways ,BBQ and drive in alachol stores fill up your car boot woth booze and go home and enjoy it

No you tried to be a smart **** and when you got an explanation it made you look like a ****, but you still tried to be a smart **** again. You are clearly not very bright and it would probably be a good idea to keep your big mouth shut in future!!

Perhaps I'm not bright, but still bright enough to get you to justify yourself to me with some sob story. When the majority of all your posts on this forum is to generally direct personal insults and snipes at other forum users and constantly put down the country that's given you the means to live in comfort and safety and enable you to start a business, if you actually read what others post you, you'll find that the general consensus is for you to keep YOUR even bigger mouth shut!

The murder rate in oz is very close to the uk
Oz is around 1.2 per 100k , uk is around 1.4 per 100k
It is not the crime free country people believe
It's how it's reported and how you perceive it and also the biggest factor where you live in a country
Here's an example , how many folks from the uk go on holiday to various places in or around Jamaica ( 1000's) and 999 will come back and say it's lovely
Yet it's one of the most murderous country's in the world with a murder rate 40 times higher than the uk

It is so free of crime that no-one locks their doors at night and they don't have to have any police force!
Plus, I hear that mangoes are only $5 each ATM.

It's what you make of where you are. Many people's experience is shaped by holidays, living and working in a foreign country is very different.
I'm surprised that Australia is still considered less expensive to live in than the UK, for all the people I know that live there (including a few expats) say the opposite is true. Pretty simple check - take 10 typical items from your weekly shopping and compare between somewhere like Tesco and Coles, worked out about the same for me.
F1 - I don't often agree with your posts, but if you do make the move then I wish you the best of luck.
