The simple fact is no matter if the part was right or wrong, you should always pay for a delivery to be signed for!

As for the scoop if it was broken and the wrong colour I would have been straight onto the seller either seeking a full refund or a part refund for the paint!

Only the buyer and seller knows what went on here. But it seems to have all escalated pretty quickly.

Seems a straightforward case to me
Seller made a mistake
Offered refund when incorrect goods returned safely
Kept dialog rather then disspaear which is good for a seller

Buyer sent it back on the cheap
Didn't request signature
Parcel gets lost
So
Buyer claims back money of dodgy delivery company

Bit early to write war and peace on scoobynet
Both are low posters so none is taking seriously or
Gets respected from the scoobynet jury
Good entertainment for the masses as we haven't had many dump valve threads lately

Interesting comment about seller helping buyer with some headlights and fitting them
If I read correctly ?
If so why did the buyer not drive To the sellers house and do the same ?

And wonder what "vince the dodgy self employed bloke "who leaves things behind bushes and sheds does with a STi /wrx under tray ?
Put it in his greenhouse for seeds ?

Agreed this should not have gone this far but the buyer forced the situation, for the record Vince is well in his 60's and the only reason I know his name is he left it on the card. He has delivered quiet a few parts that I have bought for my own car.

I hate that this got on to the forums and Facebook at all as it's a pathetic situation that has taken far too much time due to the buyer being, well I don't need to say anymore about the buyer I think everyone's made their own conclusions.

It's a shame as the chap came along way to swap a set of moretta headlights a while ago for a set of bug sti ones which I agreed to swap off my own car as I didn't much care for the morettas I had, I fitted them for him had a chat seemed like a nice guy?

The amount of time that has been wasted messaging back and forward between the 2 members is epic, thankfully neither is charging the other for their time spent.
In hindsight it may have been better just fucking the scoop and tray in the bin ?
