D2,Pb or k-sport brakes

Sorry I read your post again after writing this (you already mentioned the 6s replaced the 8s but are not as good)

I doubt there would be much in it for your needs bud. Theres a lot of things in a real world would do just as fine. 6 pots are later better design then 8 pots and if the price difference is small as 50 quid go for newer better ones.

No brainer!
If your standard steel 4 pots destroyed a pair of 'brembo' discs as your saying in such a short time either a piston is seized or more likely you didn't change the old pads when you fitted the new brembo discs.
My trouble with these threads is some very knowledgeable people have given you their time and some fantastic advice and yet the same question is asked by you time and time again after. Sorry, just how I see it.

brembos are old now and by the time you have added new discs and pads you would be that much far away from a new set of k-sports and they come with uprated hoses aswell and not painted in pikey gold

as i said via pm mate, you would be better off with a new set of k-sports

Perhaps better to consider brake balance and improve braking proportionally
If in the OEM Brembo Sti set up use performance friction pads and Discs front and rear. Using braided hoses and best fluid.
But if doing serious track work get advice how to keep balance and buy for your needs.
I've use both AP and Alcon complete set ups and both have been absolutely superb.

Lofty I have spoken with my mate who's friend has your wheels with brembos fitted,he uses a 10mm spacer and they fit he says that it is tight but fits no rubbing so I think if your looking to go that way you need 10mm+ To be safe.SJ.

Thanks mate a couple of people have said 10mm aswell

See you're the one that doesn't listen or read properly in you're case! My first thread was what brakes are too big and will create adverse affects? (Not antthing about what wheel sizes will fit what brakes) my second was who do people think the best mapper is,I would like 400bhp but doon was told my vf35 is not capable of that,to which I replied I would like it turned to as much as is possible from it. I wanted my engine built strong for reliability not to use all its potential.same with gearbox,I wanted it to be as strong as I could have it for reliability more than getting maximum out of it. I dont drive fast n furious everywhere, but when have my moments I want to be able to stop

You can only get 350 max out of your vf35 any of the brakes mentioned above are capable of that.
id be more worried about your wrx engine internals and wrx gearbox at 350bhp as they are on borrowed time
pointless now but if you bought an sti all the running gear would have coped with that power.
all you are doing is chucking money away trying to tune a wrx to that power.

OE 4pots not sure,if I would run again on any Impreza
We are running K-Sport 8 pots 356mm at front with PF Z-rated pads and at rear we are running K-Sport 6 pots 330mm with DS2500
PF pads what we are running(Z-Rated) not ruined our discs, not sure how it possible you are ruined discs on yours Brembo, what discs you are run
Do you run previously some cheap discs(drilled and grooved) or do you run proper PF discs?

I still have subaru 4pots on my wrx, like you say they are rubbish! Thats what im thinking of getting ksport 8pot on 355s. I had brembo gold drilled 294mm discs (£250) on my subaru 4pots with performance friction carbon metallic pads (£150). The discs must have been to soft for pads, the brake dust actually bedded in like angle grinder sparkes would to my wheels, ruining them,my friends in car behind would tell me hot sparkes are coming from my brakes and sometimes the odd flame lol (and that wasn't even braking to the max, just reasonable to heavy force). The disc wore to their limit within few months with heat marks and cracks around all drilled holes.
are you retarded?
#85
Drilled discs always crack around the holes. Fact. Doesn't matter what make or how much they cost all drilled discs will crack. I only use grooved discs now for that reason.
#86
cheap ones crack as the holes are drilled into the disc creating weak points.
expensive ones fitted to porsche etc the holes are cast when the disc is made.

See fawor & jura say 8pots o_0 confused??

What is more budget as a brake upgrade than a pair of brembo's? Can get a pair for £400 and they bolt straight on with a pair of discs. They will make your standard crap Subaru 4 pots look like they were never working.
