You have standard Subaru 4 pots on a 320bhp car. I'm amazed it stops. Maybe that's why you burned through a new pair of discs and pads. I upgraded my Subaru 4 pots to brembos years ago when I increased my power. Best mod I've done. As I already said here... WELL worth doing. Very good upgrade. My car stops on a penny now, even if I drive it like I stole it.

Already said, not wheel diameter, it's the wheel spoke internal profile that's the problem with brembo clearance!

pointless now but if you bought an sti all the running gear would have coped with that power.
all you are doing is chucking money away trying to tune a wrx to that power.
Fair enough about turbo and thanks for opinion on brakes (even though your having another little dig at my power lol) you cant get blobeye sti wagon, but I've had semi closed block and good sti internals fitted, race bearings etc. And if gearbox treatment does work, then I should be ok

Here here! I've heard they crack but mine were probably dangerous and not far from cracking into bits

It stops once good lol maybe twice. I bought good discs & pads because some people said thats all it needed,to which I've found out to be untrue. I appreciate your view on brembos mate but I only want to know about ksport etc. On here

This is why I changed them because of what they we're doing, the pads which I still have in my garage somewhere still probably have more than half their meat left, they was too aggressive for discs. Apparently some sparkes were normal due to the carbon metalic makeup of them..

Holy carp!

So you didnt get the answers you wanted on your first brake thread. How many threads will it take? what answer are you looking for?

Just fit the biggest, shinyest, most chryogenically anodised orange 20 piston monsters you can find.... brand is unimportant!

they WILL make you happy! promise!

look mate, your in a wrx, driving on the roads ...... and asking about brakes that only really come into theyre own above and beyond standard brakes when on a circuit with sticky hot tyres. If your ragging on the roads (obviously close enough to your mates for them to see sparks coming out of your wheels) hard enough to find the limit of your brakes then your being a dick! or do you just do roundabout sprinting?

And i feckin hate the way you generalise brakes to what calipers are one them!

"4 pots are ****!" ..... uuuur, yes, 4 pots running worn out cheap discs with cardboard pads and cooking oil for fluid will be ****, no suprises there!

You stack those odds against AP 13 pots and see how they perform against 4 pots with decent pads discs and fluid!

Anyway, sorry back to the answer your looking for-

Big and shiney!

Im out.

Whats wrong with you people on this thread? I only asked what people prefer out of D2 ksport and pb nothing more nothing less! And other thread I asked what brake disc & caliper are too big! The only time I keep repeating myself is to say this... yes I do roundabout sprinting

Two 4 page threads on the same subject...reeeeeeeally?

The stock 4pot caliper with a decent disc/pad combo is more than capable for a road car if the cailpers have no sticky pistons.

I give up too,if people cant read properly dont reply please! I asked two different questions on two different threads. If people choose to write same comments on both threads that are irreverent to questions that's them not me. And no, stock 4pots are no good they are useless siezed or not. And all this nonsense about being road car,I probably brake harder on the roads and roundabouts than yous do on the track.

Legacy_gtb raises a very important point in that rant...

Orange brake calipers will always out perform other more standard colour calipers. Fact!

Its IMPOSSIBLE to use brakes on the road to the same level as you can on track! Its not about how hard you press the pedal, its about how much heat you get into them and how they cope with it lap after lap. .... if you cant see that your a sandwich short of a picnic!

Back to your question, go for the pb's, and DONT fit them yourself!

From his posts i'd say with confidence that Jimmy has never seen a track. He'd know the effects putting a car around a track in anger has on components like brakes and how this differs from road use otherwise.

Unless you also have cryogenically frozen discs and calipers that is?
