They only flamed on the pf pads & brembo discs. My ebc grooved discs with yellowstuff pads didnt spark just give fade and my cheap black diamonds predators with oe discs are no worse if im honest.

Back to your question, go for the pb's, and DONT fit them yourself!
All I can say is they get hot enough to fade,on 3 different pad & disc setup.irrelevant of whos fitted them.. I've changed engines, gearboxes, turbos on more than one impreza so a brake set is a miner regardless of your thoughts!

All im saying is im getting fade somehow on various pad & discs and if they dont get fade on subaru 4pots round track then they dont brake as hard as me. Not trying to be anything that im not (like the stig) just telling how it is

jesus grow up, if you are driving fast enough on a public road to get flames(which is utter crap) and brake fade so often its an issue, you really need to have a word with yourself and think of the consequences of what will happen when it all goes wrong and you kill someone.

I used to get **** loads of fade on my old subaru 4 pots (on the road) because they are a terrible caliper, irrespective of my disc and pad choice! Not had an once of fade on my cheap Brembo's. (Which I know now your not interested in).

Maybe you should upgrade your calipers?

Anyone got any suggestions?

i dunno how about d2/ksports................

make sure they are the 356mm as i heard the 359.99mm ones dont work as well,
once when racing me mate dave round maccyds car park, he braked so hard the whole car park ruffled up like a carpet and a 65 foot flame shot out his halfrauds multi fit alloy, its a true story bruv.

As a novice modder I'd be gutted to spend big money on wat I was to think bigger brakes. Then to find the piston surface area are the same as what I'd removed.. Rrrrrrrr

So if I was to do it.........

No one mentioned tarox??

Nah obviously got a bit hot once or twice..lol

My point being pad/disc combo makes a big difference, people talk about D2/ksport but they are **** witth the standard pad...

Sounds to me the OP needs to learn to drive if he's that heavy on the brakes

Tubby im not driving round back streets like a mad man mate but I do get alot of opportunity to have to have a tear where I live and not worth having a subaru in my eyes unless you use it for what it is,which I do and where I have more power than standard the brakes struggle. I dont know why it used to sparkes and occasionally little flames (as far as I've been told, only saying what people told me) all I can think is it was a way too aggressive pad for discs

i disagree.

if you are having brake fade on numerous occasions you are either driving like an idiot or your brakes are knackered.

nothing to do with disc and pad combo.
