The Royal Mail has been set up for privatisation by making them look inept so people will think that privatisation will be the miracle cure.
It happened with utilities when we were all informed the bills would be cheaper as a result.
We never learn do we?

For future reference:
http://www.collectplus.co.uk/
You can send something from a local shop, the buyer collects from their local shop, usually Spar-type places so open much longer than Post Offices and your buyer won't have to wait in for the package or traipse down the sorting office.
Up to 2kg is £4.89

So YOU say.
To ME it's not nothing, it's a p*ss-poor service.
Not lost until it's been un-delivered THREE WEEKS?
They don't mention that you are near the pricing band weight, even though they are aware that you are taking it home to wrap?
They ONLY sell stamps as return postage?
Cr@p.

Did you or did you not ask how much the item will be to send?, so she then asked you to put it on the scales, she then told you the price.... how is it her responsibility to then say it weighs x-amount make sure you don't wrap it too heavy.
She gave you what you asked for, last time i checked they're not mind readers (or maybe they should going by your moan)
and for future reference you can weigh at home and it will quote a price online

2) You add things into a parcel it will go up in weight, no matter if its a small item - FACT! You asked for a price at the weight it was originally, which she did. It was heavier when you returned and therefore in a higher price bracket, thats life!
3) Do stamps allow the seller to return the item without paying? Yes. Its no different to a printed label FFS!
I fail to see how ANY of the above constitute p**s poor service!!
I usually find your advice very useful, and your complaints justified but in this case you are just shooting down a perfectly good service for no justifiable reason other than you annoyed things aren't done the way YOU want.....

i don't work for RM at all , just don't see your point in complaining over nothing.
You clearly have too much time on your hands these days to find something like this worthy of a moan especially taking more time to write a post on here and then continue to moan
