Bu&&er, a tad early but I have to get up in the morning, not afternoon.
The entertaining thing with putting people - sorry, muppets - in the i-bin is that when they make petty posts you don't see them, but you have the fun of working out what they have probably said - and then you wait for the quotes (which aren't i-binned) to see if your (educated) guesses were right.
Being an honest man I'd say my success rate is about 50%.
I've clearly given Haughty & the Hobgoblin too much credence.
PS Dan - I'm off to bed now.
Oh - and when I get up in the morning your contribution won't be visible, only someone's quote of it
Oh - and sorry that this post will make Chris cross.
Like the old telly show - no doubt we'll all be subject to the Chris' cross tizz l8r

Being serious my original complaint about you was the fact you seemed to have an almost pathological desire to poke your nose in and answer nearly every question posed in General like you were some sort of Scoobynet svengali when in fact you had been here a metaphoric '5 minutes' and your answers were for the most part either wrong or of no real use to the OP!
My calling you on it has obviously caused you to think again as these days we never wake up to the top 15 posts in General each with the last poster being LWC! Indeed you seem to have wound your neck in on that score..... so my work here is done!
The silly posts like the above I can put up with as at least you are not telling people a Spec C is worth half of its actual value and other such nonsense!

- A British person who lives abroad tries to make their new home country sound brilliant.
You lot still there? I thought that the UK would've sunk by now or at least got blown away.
P.S. France is crap too.
P.P.S. Not really but I don't want any more Brits moving over here.

Les Braves were happy for us to pay extended visits between 1914-18, 1939-40 and 1944-45.
How times change.

Too busy drinking, eating and enjoying themselves to worry about fighting - never met a more laid back nation, even makes the Saudis look active.

?? Why's that strange .... I'm British and it's me that doesn't want any more Brits coming over - I wasn't speaking for the French ...... and in case you hadn't noticed we're not currently in a world war ...... unless you count the invasion of the UK by the millions of immigrants, now that's real occupation and the locals are not even reacting
Ever thought why there was the Schengen Agreement?
Now they can walk over the border legally.
The Jamaicans will take some beating, and the Dutch aren't bad either.
In my experience they all put in a full 8-hr day - spread out between 8 in the morning and 8 at night .
Difference is that they are friendly and hospitable, certainly towards Brits.
Anyway, back in the real world there was a programme on not so long ago which said that France is now more popular than Spain (not sure if it actually said France was the most popular place) for Brits to retire to.
I worked with a lad who owned a Gite (I think that's the right word ?) and was preparing to emigrate.
