Not thick, most of your threads are aimed in someway or another towards a foreign type style and aimed to go in a certain direction.

Like f1 said, **** off to that site.

Either way, what a ****. I absolutely loath bullying. People are entitled to live the life they want, including religious beliefs. The girl apologised, he should have just waited. How hard is that. Dick!

Mate where am i disagreeing? Read faraz rabbanis quote properly. My post is referring to your own shop. His isnt? Your purposely looking for an issue. Grow up.

She knew they sell alcohol. She is allowed to be a checkout operator as per the link.. she must have told her manager for ur choice not to as why else would they apologise?

I think the problem with saying a customer should just wait is where would you draw the line? What if you have checkout operators who are vegan and say they don't want to handle meat or dairy? Or Catholics who don't want to sell condoms?

I guess you are that thick. Now run along and start your own thread on the link your partner provided, or start a joint one, you know what he likes.. As it happens, I did not know Combat 18 existed, thanks for pointing it out. You guys need to look more closely at yourselves.

I think the responsibility is with the retailer, I don't want a religious opinion on my purchases, I just want them putting through the till, it isn't rocket science, if I went to a foreign country I wouldn't expect to object to whatever food they ate.

To be honest, I think religion should be phased out, 3000 year old opinions on what you can do, don't apply any more, thing is, this is a free country, I can say that without getting my throat slit, a lot of the world wouldn't allow it, hence why religion keeps being perpetuated, will take a good few hundred years but I think we will get there.

Erm... Bad anology

The Romans considered themselves and their way superior so wherever they went they made sure their way was THE way.

Most likely anyway.

I know a woman who refuses to buy Halal meat because she doesn't agree with the way it's killed. She considers it inhumane.

It's this sort of post that worries me. The media and Western governments have spent years demonisng Muslims and now they are all tarred with the same brush by those not bright enough to realise they are being manipulated!

Extremists using the Islamic faith to justify their terrorist actions are a tiny tiny minority of the world's Muslims yet we get posts like this from relatively intelligent people!

Saddening in many respects!

The sad thing is that a lot of people accept what is written in the gutter press about anything as the truth. Nowhere is this more true than when it comes to Islam.

To see a whole religion as only represented by extremists is comical.

Do the Westboro Baptist Church represent all Christianity? Of course not, they're a bunch of raving lunatics that use religion to justify their own twisted messages. Nevertheless, those who shout loudest are heard and as such we don't get to hear about the moderate majority.

Surely she has committed some religious sin working for a company that sells alcohol in the first place. All though I can see some scope in this, become a religious fanatic , get a job in bargain booze and refuse to do **** all.

Red face

My missus is a pharmacist and her company employ quite a few Muslims. Some drink alcohol some don't , some eat bacon , most don't but I have never heard of one yet that will not sell medicine because it contains alcohol.
I suppose if you believe in the tooth fairy and the bearded man in the sky though you have to be some sort of nut job in the first place.
