Either way, what a ****. I absolutely loath bullying. People are entitled to live the life they want, including religious beliefs. The girl apologised, he should have just waited. How hard is that. Dick!

So you disagree with Faraz Rabbani?
If the woman in question did not know M&S sold alcohol she is too stupid to have been given the job, or, her beliefs are selective. At least she kept her job unlike these two...viewer discretion is advised as both links are from the D**** M***......

I think the problem with saying a customer should just wait is where would you draw the line? What if you have checkout operators who are vegan and say they don't want to handle meat or dairy? Or Catholics who don't want to sell condoms?

Did you even look at the additional links I put in?

I think the responsibility is with the retailer, I don't want a religious opinion on my purchases, I just want them putting through the till, it isn't rocket science, if I went to a foreign country I wouldn't expect to object to whatever food they ate.
To be honest, I think religion should be phased out, 3000 year old opinions on what you can do, don't apply any more, thing is, this is a free country, I can say that without getting my throat slit, a lot of the world wouldn't allow it, hence why religion keeps being perpetuated, will take a good few hundred years but I think we will get there.

Extremists using the Islamic faith to justify their terrorist actions are a tiny tiny minority of the world's Muslims yet we get posts like this from relatively intelligent people!
Saddening in many respects!

The sad thing is that a lot of people accept what is written in the gutter press about anything as the truth. Nowhere is this more true than when it comes to Islam.
To see a whole religion as only represented by extremists is comical.
Do the Westboro Baptist Church represent all Christianity? Of course not, they're a bunch of raving lunatics that use religion to justify their own twisted messages. Nevertheless, those who shout loudest are heard and as such we don't get to hear about the moderate majority.

Surely she has committed some religious sin working for a company that sells alcohol in the first place. All though I can see some scope in this, become a religious fanatic , get a job in bargain booze and refuse to do **** all.

My missus is a pharmacist and her company employ quite a few Muslims. Some drink alcohol some don't , some eat bacon , most don't but I have never heard of one yet that will not sell medicine because it contains alcohol.
I suppose if you believe in the tooth fairy and the bearded man in the sky though you have to be some sort of nut job in the first place.
