Have you thought about a newage WRX one? This is what I done as it's less faffing about and modding but is a lot bigger than std. (And cheaper than the sti) Have a look at the tech archive section.

Hi. I've a 2008 Sti tmi in great condition. It's clean and fully covered on the underside & end tanks with DEI heat reflective gold tape. It was on my 2.5Sti upto 390bhp - then I upgraded. BTW the DEI stuff is very well stuck and certainly in good condition. No Y pipe.
