It's more media doom mongering sensationalist bollocks Swati

Schumacher's recovery process unchanged

I really wish certain sections of the media would lapse into a coma!

It's a serious thread, but your last sentence has made me giggle, sorry.

Finally some glimmer of good news, here's hoping against all the odds he can make some sort of recovery

Schumacher leaves hospital to continue rehabilitation nearer his home

No, what I said was "out of his coma and on the way home to rehabilitate then"

I can't be responsible if you chose to read it as "Out of his coma and on the way home to play Twister with his family and friends before bedtime".

I'd have thought to anŷbody over the age of 9 it is quite clear what Schumacher faces ahead of him.

I was just reading at the weekend, that they said he'd never wake up!!

Just goes to show, they don't know the human brain.

Rehabilitate means 'to restore to normal health', which makes what you said sound like some Hollywood movie where someone wakes from a coma and is completely fine.

Rehabilitation can take years, its not a bi-word for he will be ok tomorrow.

P.s dont you just hate negative people.

So you think full recovery is possible?

The press have been very vague about his current state allowing people to project their hopes onto the words used.

This is undoubtedly very good news, but as said it's the start of a very long process.
Who knows how much of the old MS we will see again, if any.
I for one am just glad he's still around.

This made me chuckle

The press have been vague because they dont have the facts and are guessing.

Plenty of people in NSR constantly engage you in threads where you talk utter böllocks, time and time again. Me, well, I'll leave you to contemplate how well you scored on the böllocksometer in this thread where rehabilitation is concerned.

It is extremely unlikely he will make any sort of full recovery after this long sadly, but this is more positive than I thought it ever would be.

I think the family have had a belly full of the press and their meddling so very few updates will be forthcoming. I just hope he is able to make some sort of recovery at least mentally.

PS It would be nice to have a thread about something like this left unspoilt by petty bickering and point scoring, but this is SN NSR so I guess that's asking the impossible.

it's TDW, I'm surprised he hasn't found a way to drop BTL into the discussion.

Glad to know he's out of coma, and hope he makes enough recovery to lead rest of his life with dignity and some control over it. In fact, I really hope he makes full recovery.

He's not on his way home
He's now in a top hospital in Switzerland , for stimulation & other practises they use for trying to wake or jog as you would the mind back into sync & reprise..
I'm sure you all saw the statement from the neuro surgeon who quoted
The chance of Michael regaining his surroundings & leading a active brain life is below 25%
... I don't know , but I guess yesterday is the start of the long road ahead
Best wishes & hope your strength prevails

Michael Schumacher is out of his coma and has been discharged from hospital. A spokesperson said "Because of the seriousness of his injuries his recovery will be painstakingly slow and he's to have no excitement whatsoever. The doctors have ordered him to watch plenty of Formula 1."

Can't really see the point of such a worthless comment.
Still, it's come to be the kind of thing to expect in NSR so no real surprise I guess.

This is what the press should be reporting so people understand he isn't OK at all and stop everyone getting the wrong impression.

The way some have reported it in that he is out of a coma and on his way home makes it sound like he just woke up as if in a long sleep, had a cup of tea and was discharged from hospital to toddle off home
